Red Carpet Inn Rochester

As far as hotels in Rochester are concerned, this is an affordable option conveniently located near the Mayo Clinic.

The hotel did not match the pictures online, it was pretty old and run down, maybe it was under renos?. The hall smelled musty and was extremly hot and damp, there was a dehumidifier in the hall but was full the first 2 days and not running. Only on the third day did we see it was running and the hall was less damp. The room was clean upon arrival, but felt old even though they tried to modernize it with paint and nicer bed covers. no one came to empty the garbage during our 4 night stay. The washroom door was in rough shape, when using the shower it made an awful noise that took at 2-3 min to stop. Would have been nice to have the towels changed at least once while there, there was no sign to hang on the door for do not disturb or clean towel ask.The beds were very soft and comfortable, if thats what you like. Close to coffee and shopping. The check in was sketchy. Lady said my card was declined, which was odd, so used a different one. Later found a charge on the original and stopped it. All in all,will not stay again, but if u just need a cheap place...the person i was with said she'd stayed in worse hotels. For me, the worst.

While everything Excellent; prob are preferred Units among fair many. QUITE Reasonable prices and opts incl microwave and fridge, allowing for no breakfast service. Have stayed before and will again; conveniently located bit off main N>

It was OK for the price. Wasn't the worst and wasn't the best. AC worked good enough and was able to get a good night's rest.

Beds are way better than super 8 down the road. Hete for construction downtown so checking out places, dated, but good overall.

I had somewhere to sleep in between appointments No pool, no breakfast like it said, accused of smoking weed when we didnt.

Nothing. The smell was terrible and overwhelming. The sheets had stains, and the easy chair and bedskirt had crud on them. The broken bedside table was repaired with painters tape. The fridge was unplugged and warm when we arrived, making it useless for the groceries we had brought. We arranged accomodations at a different hotel and left immediately. The management refused any refund or any written acknowledgement that we were checking out.

Room was spacious and staff was friendly The ordor inside the facility was strong and unpleasant

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We had several questions about such things as shuttle to the Mayo, and close restaurants. The young lady answered all the questions and gave us some suggestions. The hotel has a strange odor, somewhat unpleasant when you first walk into your room area. Not sure what it may have been, but definitely not good.

Price and comfortability. Perfect for just a place to sleep then get back on the road. Nothing really

Husband ended up with rash on his body from room.I don't know if it was beddugs or what.

The place was very clean. The room was cold and i couldn’t put the radiator on. I traveled with my blanket. So i was warm

You get what you pay for. Basic room close to shops

Price and location ok. It was 30 degrees outside and the rooms had no heat. Hot water heating system. It was freezing. When we checked out, the staff person said that the boiler was off/not working. No heat and sub freezing temperatures
