Holiday Inn Express Rochester - University Area by IHG

They only provided 1 towel, Our room had a dirty shower with hair left inside. I showered with my flip flops because I could tell the shower wasn’t clean. There was no hair dryer aswell. The sheets kept coming off the bed, the mattress had a gross huge stain in the middle of the bed under the mattress cover that I didn’t discover until we were leaving. My partner couldn’t access the pool for whatever reason (it was 9am and shouldve been accessible.) the breakfast was cold and gross. Overall bad experience and I wouldn’t stay here again at all.

Front desk was very accomodating. She was able to help us get into a room before check in and was able let us do a late check out so the kids could have more time in the pool!

Great location, perfect stay with the kids after a day trip to seabreeze amusement park. Restaurants and stores close by. Typical Holiday in Express otherwise. 10/10

Rooms. Beds. Swimming Pool. Tasty Breakfast. 24 hour coffee machine. Great location. Inefficient and untrained staff. No change/shower rooms for the pool. Not enough towels.

The beds were comfortable. It wasn’t very quiet.

Clean and Comfortable, and modernised. Not a lot of room in the breakfast area which was pretty busy.

Only recommendation would be to inspect and clean air conditioner. It was full of dust which was caked on inside where air blows out into room.

Room was ok our bed had a ripped sheet and only had 1 shower towel for 3 people was not happy about that breakfast was not so great either

Just meh. Very loud people in the halls. We were near the ice machine and people were using it all hours. Bathroom was tiny. Had to ask for the room to be cleaned and when we asked for towels we had to go get them from the front desk.

No one available at front desk at check in, waiting for 25 min. Room was dirty and toilet wasn't working. We opted to leave and checkin to another hotel.

It was very close to the hospital where my Mom was. I booked the room for My brother when we found out my mom was going to need to be on comfort care. My mom died sooner than we were hoping and my brother just wanted to go home and be in his emotions and the third party was going to charge me for the full stay, but then they decided not to. Booking through a third party

I’ve stay in many hotels, and all I can say is that I would definitely stay there again for sure. Very clean, friendly staff very well maintained facility!

It was a very enjoyable stay.

We left well before breakfast was served. The only "complaint" I have was that our room smelled very strongly of bleach and it never really subsided.

Rooms were not prepared and basic hygiene was missing. To start off, the reception old lady was not welcoming. In addition, the housekeeping staff did not prepared out bed both mornings and was left untidy room. They removed the plastic bag from rest room but didn't put on a new one. They didn't changed the floor towel which was ridiculous. At the breakfast place the cleaning napkin and all.purpose cleaner fluid was left together with the creamer and coffee making station which is another breach of hygiene. I have stayed at other Holiday in Express before but this stay was very bad experience.

The hotel was clean. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast was really good. They had 3 different types of eggs, sausage and Bacon. Then your breads , cereal any yogurts. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. They have a really nice seating area outside and a bbq for people to use. Overall it was a great experience.
