Motel 6 Rockford, IL – RFD Airport

Isn't a motel 6 anymore. Was told to cancel my reservation through booking.com, and rebook it under the new motel name.

No room service, laundry is in the next motel over which was only one machine looked nasty and creepy. Did not get deposit back

Nothing There was no one there but an off source computer operator who was from a non speaking English nation and the check in system was inoperative.

The Location was great and we did sleep well. The mattress was very solid the way I like it. When doing check in it took like 20 min because it was a kiosk ended up tue line kept getting backed up and there was no physical person Finally someone showed up and the rest of the line was almost gone before we finished checking in. The office isn't connected to any of the rooms The office area smelled like urine and cleaner. Thankfully the room areas weren't quite as strong smelling buy overall could use an upgrade.

I had booked 4 days at this hotel 2 weeks in advance. A couple hours later I added an extra day. When the 4th day came they made me leave at check out, pack everything up with my dogs and told me I had to return at 3pm to check back in. So me and the dogs drove around for 4 hrs to return only for them to tell me my reservation was cancelled bc within those couple hrs they changed the name of their hotel and it's no longer Motel 6. And they had no available rooms for me and did not return my deposit. The people in front of me were charged $416 on their credit card for their room and they told them the same thing, they are no longer Motel 6 and they have no evidence showing they paid for their room but it was taken out of their checking account.

Clean nice rooms They said they are not afflicted with Motel 6 anymore and my bookings I already paid for wouldn’t work to stay at the property . Told me I needed to get a refund on bookings . Then proceeded to charge my card 3 times for 2 rooms and told me that they only charged me twice when my credit card says 3 times . You had to pay on a weird computer screen with a person . And they just were not being empathetic to my situation.

The staff was late , it was virtual and took an hour to get a phone call at night to get staff to help , it was all electronic , done virtually and the person was terrible .

So I had to walk back in and ask. The outside of the building is run down, the landscaping is atrocious. Once inside, the smell was just awful. Can’t pinpoint it because it’s so weird. The room itself was ok, once you get past getting acosted by the obnoxiously bright lights. The walls has scuff marks, the shower didn’t look clean, the towels had a musty smell. The only good thing I have to say was the bathroom mirror was nice and the bedsheets smelled fresh. Other than that, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you were beyond desperate.

Kiosk to check in with a very rude customer representative. Foul smell throughout hotel. No freezer in mini fridge was told I could get one for a extra fee. Hairs in the towels.
