Beautiful inn in a safe quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to downtown Rockland. Spacious clean room, tasteful decor, friendly owners. Especially enjoyed the coffee machine and breakfast options in the morning. Perfect spot for a fun Maine weekend!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Rockland Talbot House. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very, very comfortable. The property is a beautiful, well kept house from the 1800's with lots of character and original pieces. The Inn has a wonderful coffee machine with hot lattes, cereal, oatmeal, muffins and other pastries for breakfast as well as fresh fruit, juices and yogurt. The Rockland Talbot House is only a few blocks away from downtown Rockland and for those of you who love antique shopping, there is a fantastic antique store in town: Antiques Etcetera. It is also just a short drive to Camden, Maine which is a lovely town on the water (the Harbor Dogs is a must try). We highly recommend the Rockland Talbot House!

Very Quiet and two blocks from the downtown Rockland. Dog park for your pet in nearby Camden, 146 Camden St. See a description of what I experienced on a web place for that purpose.

The breakfast was fine! I loved the late afternoon snack, the mixed berry pie. The hot water in the bath took a long time to rise to temperature when I took a shower.

Beautiful property, the bed was very comfortable…slept so well. Nice and quiet. It was with walking distance of some awesome seafood at the Waterworks Restaurant. nothing

    Cozy and comfortable

Lovely home that is well kept and clean. Very convenient location. Good communications about check in and checkout procedures. The breakfast part of this “B & B” is minimal. It’s not worth it: all self serve, coffee pods, overly sugary prepackaged cereals and grocery store muffins. There were apples and mandarins as well.

The inn was beautiful, well kept, and Pearl is going to be a great mascot.

Room was beautiful and very clean The breakfast was lackluster for a B&B

A large 1864 house in very good shape and well kept up, so staying at Talbot House is like stepping into history. That said, its an adjunct to the hotel next door, and we did not see any hotel staff at all during a four-night stay (there was maid service that came while we were out). Nice common rooms and very quiet.

The stay was perfect. The bed was a little stiff, but overall it was a great stay.

  • Engine customer Aug 2025

Room was decent size. The mattress was firm, new and perfect! Great old Victorian architecture. Breakfast could have had a protein like hardboiled eggs which would have been appreciated. No elevator. Did not see any management. Self entry. A bit impersonal. Impersonal. No protein offered at breakfast.

I was a little disappointed with the continental breakfast. There was nothing to eat for anyone watching sugar intake. The cereals offered were geared more to children like Lucky Charms and Fruit Loops. Please consider offering one item that is not heavy in carbs and sugar. Very nice location, and I would highly recommend.

Beautiful antique B&B. It was disappointing that we didn’t get to meet the proprietors. I am not a fan of the self-check-in model for a B&B’s.

    Great house. Very nice area

Main complaint is about the Grabbed and gone breakfast items gone at 8:50am. The early risers must have been hungry as items were not replenished. The kureig was really small and outdated. Person in front of me emptied it filling a thermos. Could not find a container to refill, used coffee cup. No lids for the grab and go coffee.just not up to expectations of frequented B&B. Would not book again. Overall a one night stay. Booked at the last minute and was not familiar.

Lovely, well maintained estate with very clean, well functioning fixtures and furniture. A welcome change and a pleasure to enjoy on our vacation!

Nice location, friendly staff, quiet, loved the old home atmosphere. The continental breakfast was nice, but for the price we had hoped for a little more.

Breakfast was fine - everything we needed except the human element of a person fussing in the kitchen or serving the breakfast. When you take your own yougart out of the refridgerator, you may as well be staying at a motel with a breakfast lounge. Really missed the human element - expected to meet the innkeepers as that is always part of our interest in staying at an inn.
