Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Roswell

This was a last minute booking at night. Staff was so helpful. Upgraded us to a King suite. Also, very thoughtful to give us a first floor room because we had our dog with us. The very steep $100 pet fee was surprising and outrageous. I’ve never had to pay more than $25 at other hotels. Also, be mindful that parking lot is an ordinary hotel parking lot and is also an extra fee. None of these extra fees were

Room smelled funny. Had trouble getting MNF on tv.

The only complaint I have is the TV in the bedroom stopped working. It seemed like it was programmed to go to sleep after a while. At first it seemed like a remote problem. I didn’t appreciate the TV turning on automatically at 3am to the Fairfield ad screensaver. I also didn’t realize the alarm was set for 6am and was woke up by it. I didn’t report the TV problem to the staff.

Check in process was terrible. Although I booked and paid for a 2 night stay in a double bed room the front desk split up my reservation and was telling me I would have to change rooms and pay again. I refused. Upon check out she then proceeded to tell me I still had a balance although I showed her my reservation prepaying for the 2 rooms. Frustrated that check in/check out process took over half hour when there shouldn’t have been any issues, that’s the whole point or prebooking.

The room and breakfast. The Wi-Fi. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and it was a pain in the butt to log in. Then by the next morning, it would not log in so I had to use my hotspot.

The room was good, the closet doors were broke of the track and the smoke detector was hanging on the wall. It would be nice to have some better lighting in the room. We really enjoyed our stay! It is however very hot in August.

Be warned. $10 per night for parking in the middle of the desert? CASH GRAB Our outlets didn't work. Burn marks on the kleenex dispenser. Disappearing manager. Tried to find her four times to dispute a RIDICULOUS room charge and she was no where to be found. Another CASH grab. Oh, and they shame you if you book through EXPEDIA. There are WAY better places to stay in Roswell. Don't stay here.

The pool area was cute and comfortable. The staff was very nice. Check out was at 12 which we loved. Everything seemed outdated, the mini refrigerator in the room was too small to hold any of my items, carpet had a weird smell to it, elevator was a little too small. My room was very small. Doorway was real narrow difficult to bring the cart in to load and unload.

The down blanket had makeup on it and the sheet looked like it'll did too. The other bed was clean.
