They did a nice job remodeling the rooms and there is A/C. Dallas checked me in, she was nice. They have parking on-site.

The hotel is in a great location with onsite parking and short walks to sites and restaurants. Would stay here again.

However, the room itself was disappointing. We booked king bed accommodations, but the room was extremely small and featured little more than the bed. There was very limited space to move around or store belongings, which made the stay less comfortable than expected. The coffee bar amenities also fell short. The morning coffee was cold and appeared to be from the previous day, which was a frustrating start to the morning and not what I would expect from a well-run property. The biggest issue was parking. We were charged a parking fee for one car, but we had two cars and were not allowed to park the second vehicle, even though I offered to pay an additional fee. This was especially frustrating because the parking area appeared to be less than 50% occupied during our stay. Both drivers were handicapped, yet I still had to park two blocks away from the property. This was inconvenient and concerning from an accessibility standpoint. While the cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel were positives, the small room, poor coffee service, and inflexible parking situation significantly affected our experience. I would recommend that management review its parking policy and accessibility accommodations, as well as improve the morning coffee service for guests.

Great room, clean, all the amenities!! 24 hour coffee in atrium. Parking onsite. Room was a bit hot and AC couldn’t keep it cool but not terrible.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Old Capitol Hotel in Sacramento. The biggest highlights were the excellent hotel staff, who were friendly, helpful, and made check-in and check-out easy. The bed was amazing very comfortable, clean, and well maintained, which made for a great night’s sleep. The hotel’s location is fantastic, especially if you’re attending events at the convention center. It’s an easy walk, and there are plenty of nearby restaurants and attractions. I also appreciated the well-lit parking area, which felt safer and more convenient than street parking downtown. The main downside is that some of the furniture and the elevator, carpets, are showing their age but in ok acceptable condition but not the level of stay for $372.04 ( after taxes but that is with VIP points and gold tier one key discounts.) However, despite that, the overall condition of the hotel is still good, and the cleanliness of the room and bedding stood out.The staff was informative and prompt. Overall: A solid choice for anyone visiting Sacramento who values a great location, excellent service, and a comfortable, clean bed. I’d stay here again.

Only downsides is that is smells a little musty and that parking is limited. I arrived midday and had no trouble getting a parking space. The front desk staff was very helpful when I checked in and I was thrilled to get in when I arrived midday.

My last night the room close to mines they were fighting. It was very loud. It was an ok place until that happened.

We picked this hotel for the location as we were visiting our daughter in midtown. Most everything else was not that great. The first room we checked into had visible black mold in the bathroom and the window AC unit had a strong mildew smell when running it. We requested to change rooms after the first night and the new room was an improvement with a split system AC. The rooms are small and I'm pretty sure the "queen" bed was a full size. The hotel has no amenities, no breakfast (not even for purchase). Because the building is old with poor noise insulation, the traffic noise is noticeable. There were earplugs supplied on the bedside table. We heard street racing and some party crowds one night, the next night was pretty quiet, and then we had morning business-day traffic. We would not stay here again.

Nothing wrong our stay was very good.

The room was small, but comfortable. It was noisy outside early in the evening but quieter later on. The person at the reception desk seemed a little impatient and not very friendly. Parking was not inexpensive and the parking spots in the garage were spaced very close together. The open central area was spacious and comfortable. Overall this was an OK experience but I might look somewhere else the next time I stay in the area.

No breakfast, but the coffee was fine. The second floor lounge was lovely, comfortable and safe. I like the blinds on the windows which could be angled to any degree.
