This was a typical Old Florida hotel. The nostalgia is perfect, the location perfect. The hotel will be torn down at the end of 2025

The location was great. The cleaning staff were awesome For a hotel built in 1951 it's OK. It very much needs updated. The pool could really use some work and umbrellas PLEASE. The showers were super small but I enjoyed my stay.

We love the Magic Beach and have visited many times. Very sad to learn it will soon be torn down to make way for luxury condos. That it's being torn down. It's such a cool example of Americana.

We (couple in their early 20s )loved being able to view the ocean from our balcony. The beach, publix, and a coffee shop is literally just footsteps away. The vilano pier is a very short drive away. The staff was so nice and helpful. We loved the murals in the rooms and the overall vibe. This motel isnt in the heart of st augustine, so it was pretty quiet. Def dont come expecting the Marriott, expect a cute and quaint motel. Also a plus for no hidden fees or having to pay for parking Housekeeping tried to enter our room twice during our stay while the do not disturb sign was up. Granted we didn't ask for extra, but i wish we had more than just 4 fairly flat pillows and 2 towels. Neon sign wasnt working all the way : (

Loved the nostalgia of the place. Nice area close to the beach. I hate to see them tear it down. Could have used a dog park near by.

Canceled my reservation and took another over my booking for more money and held 75 dollars for weeks !

Location. Steps to the beach; easy walk to Publix; affordable. The stove top ( one burner had old hard rice grains ) there was an unstable strip on the top stair in the room which was a trip & fall hazard; the crisper in refrigerator was dirty; two remotes to operate TV with no written instructions.

Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Allowed early check-in; replaced non-working keys and refreshed linens with helpful, kind attitude. Affordable, yet dated. No A/C in the 2nd bedroom. No ceiling fan in kitchen. Sofa bed uncomfortable. No breakfast.

Friendly front desk staff, easy checkin with no reservation, pet friendly, only a block from the beach, comfy bed. Great value for an impromptu layover.

Amazing classic beach motel lit up with its neons. Everything about this place makes me smile from the stained glass flamingo window in the bathroom to the beachside location. I am broken hearted this place closes at the end of the month to make way for yet more condo’s! It will only be open the rest of this month.

It what i didn't like! The owner he canceled my booking and never returned my money ! I stayed there for the summer * healing my sick special needs child * and overing charging me everytime * changing my room up and asking more for less of a room! Telling me what room he wants me to have for a long stay! Crazy he sure is! Charging more money after given me a deal for 3 months ! greedy owner who sold the place for millions * a landmark to most and magical place to alot of people family friends and couples, and to film makers i got in 2 parts in 2 movies and my dog nama to ! I was on channel 4 news fighting not to close the Magic Beach the owner really didn't like that ! Then he Also discriminated against my child of special needs ! The place will be demolished after next month Because money becamev the root to all evil and the owner Is a money hungry man ! Without a conscience to others just money !He canceled my reservation that was paid for and refuses to pay me back As far as the staff very few hired , but the very few that he did have were awesome became family to me and my daughter, if not for the staff his business would have shut down a long time ago! He cared nothing of fixing that place ! The original owners back in the day were awesome ! this new owner destroyed a very magical place! The owner works his very few workers Like slaves ! Sadly ! Steps to the beach, 10 minute drive to St. George Street, mini kitchen with fridge and table and microwave, very friendly staff. Not fancy but, clean..2 separate bedrooms amazing value!

Close proximity to the beach. Cute town. We were shocked by the level of Ill repair of the 2 bedroom suite. Tiles falling off the wall, moldings missing, just overall in shambles. We are OK with older, nostalgic motels, and we’re looking forward to our stay. However, it appears that there has been no effort whatsoever put into maintaining the property. It is incredibly dingy and dated. It was by far the worst motel experience we have had in the last 20 years. I believe since they will be demolishing the property, it will only get worse until the building is crushed. Those in the town who want to keep this property have obviously never stayed in it. Having said that, all staff were very nice.

Location close to beach Pool was not clean. Could not use.
