MainStay Suites Salt Lake City Fort Union

A little dated but not the staffs fault they clean daily and do their best. Very friendly and helpful. They made my stay here stress free and comfortable

The location was great for grocery shopping and to buy the ice that I needed. The front desk receptionist informed me upon arrival that I would not be staying in the king bed room that I reserved because they were over booked. Instead, I was put into a room with two double beds, and a broken ice maker in the kitchenette. I barely fit in a double bed, and there was no ice available in the entire hotel.

It was very spacious. Had everything I needed. The elevator quit working. I have COPD and going up and down 3 flights of stairs didn't help. Also, while everything in the room was clean, the mattress, sheets, and blanket for the hideabed were stained.

Smell in the room was not good, pillows were old and with lots of stain on them.

There was a 62 dollar pet fee that I didn’t expect. I would have never booked this hotel knowing this.

Kitchenette was nice (although only one stove burner worked) and the room was clean. Bed was not very comfortable, and the hallways and common areas smell like weed. Took a hour to check in because it was overbooked, the first room they tried to put us in reeked of cigarettes, the room they moved us to was ok. We booked a queen bed, the bed was definitely a double. We got a pretty good deal so overall it was good, but I doubt I would go back.

Cheap room but a lot of amenities. Full size refrigerator, dishwasher, even a little stove top.

Spacious and clean for the price. Obviously not luxurious but gets the job done and for the price amazing.

Pretty alright, only real issues were with the lack of cleanliness. The bedsheets had stains and kitchen area/some utensils were not cleaned. Walls are also pretty thin, but there is a gym which is nice

Great staff, great location.. My room stunk SO bad, but I think the bathroom had just been remodeled. It was a beautiful bathroom, but it was a stinky room.

We only stayed at this hotel for one night during our road trip. Everything was clean and the room served its purpose, bed and shower. The elevator was a little weird but worked fine. There was a weird smell to the room due to the AC but we got used to it. The kitchenette in the room was really helpful as I was able to store my leftovers in the fridge and then heat it up on one of their plates the next morning.

The outside of the property was in good condition. The parking was ok. The A/C units worked ok. Had to put the temp way down at 63 degrees to keep room cool. The room was good.
