We had no issues with our stay at Mainstay and it met our needs.

Our room was dirty upon entering. The front desk lady was more than helpful and super nice. She was amazing. She cleaned our room and went above and beyond for us. The hotel itself was the issue. Our room looked like someone had just left. There was garbage on the counters and stuff left in the bathroom. We didn’t get to check in for an hour and a half after we arrived. Again not the front desks issue, but she fixed it.

There was one kind staff member and the rest were rude and disrespectful. I reached out to the manager but they will not return my call. Poor customer service. This place is a disgrace. Also I prefer to steer clear of places that people live at. I would say half the rooms were permanent residents. Definitely sketchy vibes.

I had a medical emergency and no one at the front desk reacted. No 911. No checking to see if my 13 year old was still breathing, nothing. Other than that the stay was great. Shops were close by. Amenities were great for an extended stay.

I’d rather stay in the sewers than here. Found cockroach in the room, used hairband with twisted hair on it in the bathtub, ac screaming when we turned it on to beat the heat in Utah summer. Avoid this place. Manager Karen was being rude and assertive when I found a cockroach in the room and asked for a refund. She doesn’t look like she should be put in a position like this as she would cut the customer off multiple times in a conversation and she would lie about approving a refund when all she was doing was trying to stall and waste more time so the customer could give up on the idea of a refund. The room was pretty clean but the bedding and sheets were stale. The kitchen area was OK, some of the cabinets were falling apart. Someone near my room was smoking cigarettes and it was coming into the vent in the bathroom. The ac was fantastic though

Beds were comfortable & rooms were clean. Nice staff. Coffee in room plus in lobby. USB chargers in room would've been helpful, but otherwise pleasant overnight stay. Would stay here again!

Convenient location. Adequate hotel for the price.

Full size fridge, microwave, dishes, silverware and dishwasher were a surprise. I was disappointed that we were on the third floor and the long walk from the elevator. I had informed them that my husband had 3 strokes and we have a dog. Somehow they took this to mean we wanted on the 3rd floor and as far from the elevator you can get. After I saw where the room was I tried to get a different room, but they didn't have any other available and informed me that this is what I requested, which of course was not true.

This is our go to hotel in the Salt Lake area. Well priced for our needs. Convenient location with lots of shopping right next door.
