They put me in a room next to a World Cup watching party that went late with loud music. The risotto was awful--tasted like stomach acid. The bottled water did not taste good. When I checked out I have never NOT been asked "how was your stay"?

Everything. Spacious, friendly, helpful staff and very clean. There is nothing I did not like

Oh my! This was my first stay at a 5-Star hotel and it lived up to a 5-Star rating! Every interaction with staff went beyond their typical duties. If I mentioned something during an interaction with staff, they went and provided more special customizations. Lovely! The room was unique, clean and quiet. The food and drinks good. The Library Bar a special treat. I'm glad I treated myself to a one night stay!

Great location. Stunning design and ambience. Incredible attention to every detail by the interior designers. One of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in the US. And the service is great. All staff was welcoming, proactive and kind. Kids everywhere: in the Library, at the Bar (even in the evening). No adult-exclusive areas to enjoy if you are trying to read, disconnect or enjoy a cocktail.

This hotel is superb! Every person we encountered - from the valet, to the bellman, to the bartender, to the room service - was super friendly and helpful. Every aspect of this hotel is next level. The service is amazing, the hotel is nicely renovated, preserving its heritage, the surrounding area is lively, and there are a ton of restaurants and bars nearby. We will definitely be coming back here!

I’ve stayed in wonderful hotels all over the world. The Emma was the biggest disappointment I’ve ever experienced. There is nothing special about this hotel other than Molly or waitress in the bar who was amazing ! How about providing a pleasant hotel environment for 1/3 the price. I experienced nothing that justified the cost of the hotel. I’m get it’s old with slow everything.Have the owner’s ever left San Antonio and seen first rate hotels? I felt ripped off by the whole experience. This hotel is hopefully not long for the world at these prices. My wife had 5 bites which resemble bed bug bites so we got out of there.

I love the Hotel Emma! While so many hotels are no longer providing room service, the Hotel Emma is superior at offering outstanding food choices all day and night. The service is outstanding. The staff is always polite, prompt and super helpful. I can't think of anything I don't like.

I was incredibly impressed with the hotel staff. Everyone, from the valet to the front desk to the turn-down service, was fantastic. I especially loved that the concierge was so attentive but never felt intrusive. The ability to simply text them for questions or requests was a truly thoughtful touch. Nothing. Everything was amazing.

The service is absolutely exceptional. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed, and no detail is missed. Every employee we came in contact with was professional, friendly, and vested in making our stay special. We are already planning a trip back.
-
The whole atmosphere of the hotel exceeded my expectations! I would recommend a room with a balcony as it comes with a fireplace. We are planning on returning when the weather is cooler to take advantage of that.
