Villa Montes Hotel

Average hotel, good for 1-2 night

The hotel was nice with large rooms. However the staff was rude. We had 2 rooms and one of them the air conditioner did not work and the staff did nothing to assist. They need to go to the Disney or Chick fil a school for customer service.

Really Bad carpet (bad condition)

The A/C was pouring water like a torrent, the sink had no hot water, and the carpet was patched with tape—in other words, the hotel has gone downhill in terms of appearance and maintenance. The employees, on the other hand, are really great.

A very central location. A classy hotel that was very clean.. There were a lot of restaurants within walking distance. The only downfall was that coffee maker in our room did not work. The morning person on duty just said to wait till 630 and come down for the breakfast.

Cereal Oatmeal a few pastries yogurt coffee OJ that is literally it. No eggs, no meat, no toast. Just pre-packaged junk

I stayed for a night at Villa Montes and I liked the vintage kind of atmosphere. The room is clean, complete with toiletries and the coffee bar is full. Breakfast has limited food but enough to keep you started. Parking is safe with access to the elevator. Overall l, I would still come back and would recommend the place to my friends and family.

The room was fine and clean. Road noise was reasonably loud. Breakfast was very limited. It’s close to the airport. It could do with a refresh of its carpet.

Overall amazing stay. Helpful and nice staff! There was some rust around the bath tub but they quickly came up with a solution that made us happy.

Free parking and good location, bed was comfortable and despite being next to the main road most of the noise was blocked out. Breakfast, not really worth the effort. No toast but they have 2 toasters. No eggs. No bacon or ham. Only seen cereal, waffles, banana and apples. yoghurts milk tea coffee and apple juice. I wonder if it’s worth the hassle providing breakfast at all, or would they lose a star if they dropped it. My guess is yes probably.

Room was decent, they had a picture of an indoor hottub, but they told me it was not available anymore. The breakfast was too basic. For the price, I think there would have been better options, but it was a decent stay overall.

Two lights was not in working order. Did not like the soap boxes on the walls. There was a fly stuck in the room. Breakfast needs eggs.

Absolutely perfect stay for us. We used this location for an even in Oakland and it was just what we needed. Room was large and clean. We felt so fancy and well-cared for in our room for the price we paid. Staff was kind and helped us out a few times when we needed direction and travel suggestions. It's all in a very good location, with plenty of places to eat, BART close by, and bus stop literally right out front. Close enough to San Francisco to travel wherever but far enough away to not have to deal with all the people. Not to mention on-site parking that made us feel safer! The only suggestion I have is to plan ahead for breakfasts. We didn't necessarily need breakfast for this trip but we did notice there weren't many options. Some small cereal cups, dry oatmeal packs, and pre packaged baked goods were offered. But there's a wonderful iHOP right next door if you want more.
