Best advice would be to stay elsewhere unless you like noisily, older poorly renovated hotels

Staff was fantastic, my big gripe was there's no pool, no breakfast, parking is a challenge, and the shower head was detached from the wall, and the half sheet of glass from the shower led to the water going everywhere. The claim of soundproofed rooms are a 50/50 being I heard every sound above us. I did pay for an upgraded ocean view room, but it was a peak, a partial glimpse and that's if you exited the room and slightly tilted your neck to see, not an ocean view at all. Room was cute, but minor repairs were needed. Staff was honestly the best part of our stay though. Very kind. Bed could have been more comfortable.

There is no breakfast but you can do yourself a Keurig .. unexisting staff, this is not necessarily a problem, you can reach via phone an attendant. It could be just a great hotel, but cleanliness should be then improved by 99%

I liked the large space in the room. It was in a good spot with a donut shop across the street. The beach was close but not walking distance for us. The shower was great. They have streaming tv, but not cable. The staff were very friendly and helpful if needed. I liked the terrace where I can sit a relax. (There is traffic on the street below, but that didn't bother me.) The amenities were useful. I didn't like the restaurant across the street, but we only tried it once. Overall, it was very comfortable, and I wouldn't mind staying there again.

Take your money and run because if you don't this property will. This business is deceitful and predatory. Do not be fooled by the influencer content and marketing, this is a MOTEL on the side of a busy through street next to a highway. This property advertised an "Ocean View,"

Clean hotel, very satisfying with our stay. The SC cafe is awesome excellent food and service

All was as expected less location not as was to have ocean view but really it's a far peek of ocean over loud I-5. The plus was the $15 credit to SC Cafe, A+!!!

Breakfast was the worst, advertised that it was included, reason to choose this hotel, in reality it was in a restaurant across the street with $15 dollar discount ( or 15%), parking so difficult for a truck not enough space, check in you have to enter a code to the door that did not work, nobody gave information how to enter the code, to press unlock, lock etcetera. could be easy just to write it in a small card to have it access to all time, there is no attendant at night only a phone number if it is needed to unlock the door. The TV did not work, Wi-Fi unable to access. I do not recommend unless only for 1 night.

I stayed in this hotel when it first opened and remembered it being comfortable and well kept. Stayed here last week and was very disappointed with the cleanliness or lack of in the room – a wad of hair (not ours) was behind the sink faucet and the bathroom floor planks were damaged and popping out where it would’ve been very easy to cut your toe. Towel quality a lot less than it used to be. Beds were still comfortable and check-in was easy, but I hope their maintenance improves.

You are charged $25 for breakfast and beach rentals like surf boards and bikes. That gives you a $15 credit at the cafe across the street, which was delicious, and access to the beach equipment, which I didn't need. The staff was very helpful and kind.

Clean very large spacious room however there was a missing door for the bathroom so showering caused a big mess with water. I cleaned up best I could but you could tell it's been like this for a while since the floor boards would creak when you stepped on them. Location was very walkable. Parking was limited.

Clean room. Parking available. The breakfast from the cafe across the street was delicious. Very comfortable room.

We had a great stay at the Surfbreak Hotel! Using their boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, and surfboards made our stay super easy and comfortable. This hotel is in a great location for the price, we would stay again!
-
We did not use any of the beach gear because we had our own. Parking is extremely tight and fills up fast so in the evening you likely will have to park on the street.
-
This was a wonderful place to stay. Very convenient to freeway and beach access. They had beach chairs and toys available for use. The rooms were large and well maintained. The staff was very helpful. It was the easiest check in and check out I have ever experienced.
