Street parking near the hotel is limited. For hotel parking, it is expensive, $50 per night.

Your front desk clerk Gray made our stay beyond perfect. She is such a great asset to your property. She was kind and knowledgeable and so helpful. You are lucky to have someone like Gray working for you . Thank you for a wonderful yet all too short stay with you. We will definitely be back to this property or to the shoals !

We had a great stay. The room was clean, spacious, and had a nice layout. The hotel offered easy access to the beach, making it convenient to get to nearby attractions and restaurants. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place!

This place was a perfect location. It wasn’t crowded. Walking distance to the many wonderful restaurants. The hotel offered all the beach supplies you could think of. Sun block, sun glasses, flip flops, towels, chairs, etc. We were so thankful for that. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating! Our room was small and in the back, but with an ocean front hotel, who spends time in the room? It was perfect for us, and we will go back!

The staff was great. The room was small, floor was not moped that good. And they were working on the air conditioning after that everything was damp nothing dried. Even the our clothes were damp in the suitcase.

musty smell due to power and air conditioning being off. took a while for it feel fresh. o

Close to the Beach My room didn't have a Balcony

This place is perfect stay even if you just plan on beach time only. It is right off the beach and lots of food places to enjoy.

Second problem for room 212: no blackout curtains. Light poured in the window from the bright porch lights all night and then of course daylight at 5:30 am. The thin blinds were too narrow for the window so people sitting right outside could see in. Tiny tiny windows facing the wall next door which has it's own windows meant we never opened the blinds ...so we were sitting in a closed off box with only one uncomfortable wicker chair inside with no cushion. Make sure you bring an eye mask and ask for extra pillows and just plan on not sitting in your room, it's just not very comfortable. Go to the beach instead. Bathroom: there were no hooks to hang anything, and the door is barn style so there are gaps on both sides so you can see in from the side and hear everything. Barn doors are trendy but not functional. This was the plainest room Ive ever stayed in. No headboard, no art on the walls, no mirror except a small one in the bathroom...very plain Jane. One tiny Keurig but no cups or creamer so... Not sure what to do with that. We went out for coffee instead and honestly 4 stars to the local coffee shops! There was a smear on wall in our room that looked like blood but the rest seemed pretty clean. Just be aware this is the beach so every room smells a bit musty from the humidity. No escaping that anywhere. The very thin small pillows on the bed are better suited to a double bed, not king so it felt a bit sparse tbh. .

Great location step away from the beach. Hotel has no parking even though it describes like you can book a reserved parking. You have to drive around to find a spot in public parking. That means your car park on your own risk. Customer service is 5/10. Front desk only opens till 9pm. This type of hotel is not for family with kids because the room is very small. Room condition is clean.

The ease of access to the beach. And the view was heavenly.

The location is fabulous! We were disappointed that we didn't have any outdoor space off of our room, although we had a great ocean view. Our room was nice, though very small. They should really invest in an ice machine. A bag of ice at the liquor store across the street was $5!! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We chose to find our own parking space, because hotel parking is $50 per night. That worked out after about 45 minutes driving around looking for a space! Lol.

Everything meet the needs we needed

room had water leak in it, floor covered in water. they offered to dry it up but it was continuing to leak. random long hairs all over the bathroom, toilet and sink upon arrival. mildew smell.
-
The only disappointing part was the pictures for our room online showed a couch and there was not a couch in our room. Otherwise we would definitely visit here again.

OMGGG what a blast! My flight arrived before the actual check in time of 4pm. I was able to check in early at 1pm for a $60/$70 fee. The room I got was one king bed with a partial ocean view. The view was able to be seen on the balcony that lead to my room. Not viewable from windows which I didn’t mind. I didn’t request parking because I didn’t bring my car with me. If you do bring one, I highly recommend getting that accommodation. Parking was hard to look for whenever my friend came to see me. They also allowed guest without extra fees, as long as you let them know who is coming. As for the location overall; literally the best. Walking distance for stores, restaurants, the beach, literally anything you need. There’s also beach towels, mats, chairs, sunglasses and etc in the lobby that is first come first serve. So thankful for that because I didn’t bring any beach items so I definitely used that to my advantage. Staff is extremely helpful and kind. Including the cleaning staff, they were quick and reliable. This is not like your typical hotel with 24 hr lobby, special room service, hallways, elevator etc. This was honestly perfect operations especially since it’s located right by the beach. I couldn’t ask for anything more. I will definitely book with Pacific View Inn again whenever I’m back in San Diego!

The room was clean. Amenities are simple. The bed was very comfortable. The sheets smelled good. I’m a big guy so the shower was a little tight with wise, but other than that the water was warm and they provide plenty of shampoo. My walk to the beach took all of about two minutes. They’re in a great location on Pacific Beach, where you can walk down the boardwalk into party land; or stay on the peaceful outskirts of crystal pier, which is a whole five minute walk. This place location is great. The staff is very nice. I look forward to staying here again. I found it very peaceful.
