Beach Haven - Near Pacific Beach Park

Nice place to stay,walking distance to beach and shops. A microwave would have made it better

It was a cute boutique hotel near the beach and great restaurants. But probably not somewhere I would choose to go back to.

I liked the it was closed to the beach, just few steps to the beach.

PROS: - location - kitchenette stocked great - staff (as of Aug 2026) - ice maker clean / functional - pool looked clean & well maintained - pretty quiet for being on a main street CONS: - small shower - definitely dated - not great for families / small children in my opinion. Because it's an older building you can hear footsteps / stomps etc. I was worried our neighbors below us would be bothered by my kids noise since our room was upstairs. - even though we paid for parking there weren't enough spots at night to park in the lot unless we.got back before 8ish Overall great and would stay again!

We've continued to stay at Beach Haven in the past bc it's a good price, a great location and has just been what's easy. We stayed year after year IN SPITE of some past issues like really uptight management and being nickel and dimed. BUT - this is a new ear. If you've tried before and moved on, come back!! The new management team are a breath of fresh air and they care about service and your experience. Great pool, great a/c, easy parking and one block from the best pizza on the beach - Mr Motos. If these two establishments remain, we'll always be back.

The hotel was in a very good location, everything you wanted to visit was 15 minutes away. The beach was close, you didn't need to take the car, it was a 4 minute walk. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The beds were very good. Very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.

I loved our stay. The beds were comfortable and clean. What I did like is that a kitchen was attracted but locked. We had to pay extra if we wanted to use the kitchen.

We had a great stay at Beach Haven Hotel! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and our room was a good size with a nice kitchen. The hotel was clean and had great amenities. We also loved the convenient location—it was close to the beach, restaurants, and everything we wanted to enjoy during our stay. Having good parking was a big plus as well. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Great rates when booking ahead of time and within walking distance to the beach and a short drive to La Jolla Cove and so much more!

The price was a bit high, but that’s probably due to the peak travel season. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it.

Nothing fancy about it but nicely. Lose to the ocean and the beach.

The bad was parking, second nite we had to park blocks away because someone parked inconsiderately and so not enough room, the front desk said they would credit the parking but never did. The rooms were a bit dated and the room we were in you couldn’t close out the neon hotel sign that shined into the room.

Book the kitchen add on, you wont regret it! Full size fridge, gas stive, table and chairs.

This was a great place to stay. Having a small kitchen with 2 queen beds was perfect. We didn’t drive our car once while there Because It’s very close to the beach, yummy food and awesome stores. There were 2 things that could’ve been a been better, the internet speed and the water pressure in the showers. Even with those 2 small things we really enjoyed our stay.

Good value, just can be loud on busy nights and not much sound insulation at all. Have to call a number if you want to complain, wish it had on site staff to deal with promptly
