Pacific Shores Inn on Pacific Beach

Great location !

Very good for budget price. Very helpful management. Super cooperative.

Location was great. Pool was nice. Seating on deck was nice with partial view of the beach.

Good size double queen room, great location very close to beach and close to restaurants and shops

The bathroom needs improvement. The sink faucet did not extend far enough into the sink. This resulted in water splashing all over the sink and floor when in use. The toilet seat had dried paint coming off. Toilet seat should be replaced, not painted.

Close to the beach

The carpet was dingy and room smelled like dog. Sitting out on the patio we observed visitors having a hard time to park. Public cars or visitors “non customers” were taking up the parking. Each room should have an assigned parking. We’ve stayed there for the past several years but we were a little disappointed this year.

The room was clean except they left the used coffee pad in the basket. All and all it was a pleasant experience.

We found a hypodermic needle in the bathroom. The staff didn’t seem too concerned.

It was a nice place, 2nd stay there. Recommend.

Only missing breakfast besides that it is a short walk to beach with great views and can head to the water. Lots of food options in walking distance so park the vehicle and enjoy

Great stay close to the beach will be back again

Our stay was just okay. The location is great but we had some troubles with our room. We weren’t told that we needed to specifically request maid service upon check in - on our first day we put the “maid service requested” sign on our door and when we returned at the end of the day, our bed was not made. I went to the front desk and they told me that sign doesn’t work and we needed to specifically put a request in. At that time, I put the request in for the following day and when we returned after another long day, our room again was not cleaned. The dead bolt on the door was loose (someone could definitely push through the door if it wasn’t locked) and the lock on the bathroom window was also loose and did not have a screen, which was concerning as we were on street level. We wouldn’t stay here again on our next trip to San Diego.

Parking was included and the staff was accommodating.

Rooms are pretty standard. Was fine for what we needed and close to the beach and dining options/coffee. There was a janky looking cart outside of our room for wet towels and laundry (not appealing to have that be the first thing you see when you walk outside your room). Maybe they can move it to a different location rather than outside some of the rooms. It is a cheaper option hotel so it’s not shocking it’s not top-tier. If you’re fine with no-frills hotel and easy beach access, this is a good option but if you’re looking for a more luxurious stay, this isn’t it.

And it was smelling really bad as well.

No hot water

Not the newest facility, but remodeled and very clean. Zero smell in the room. We enjoyed our stay. Very close to the water and great restaurants. We would come back!!
