PB Surf Beachside Inn

The rooms are remodeled very nicely and the staff is soooo helpful. For a 2.5 hotel it definitely works!!

The hotel was quiet and the bed was comfy. I don't think it was worth the price tag.

Super helpful staff, flexible as our plans changed. Clean bedroom & bathroom, and comfortable bed.

Room had fruit flies throughout, along with regular flies.

The room was very clean. The bathroom was clean but very small. We had a second floor room and no elevator. That was very hard on our knees. The pool was at a different location, I guess it was next door, but we didn’t see it. And we ubered around town because we were afraid to move the car out of our parking place because there is insufficient parking for the size of the hotel and didn’t want to have to drive around looking for a parking space.

Location was great, parking is limited but there is parking, first eoom had bo working ac but staff was able to switch our room to make sure we had working ac. Overall good experience. Bed was just ok but everything else was great. Loved the shower and water pressure!

We were not able to stay at this hotel. When we arrived, everything was dark, then I saw the sign taped to the door that they were experiencing a blackout and no power. I tried to call, no answer. We had to look for another hotel room and after the third try, we got a room. We were still charged for the stay and we will need to get reimbursed.

Clean, spacious room, located a 5 min walk from the beach! No complaints

The staff was wonderful. Expedia had a mix up but the hotel fixed it and all went well. Great location!!

Great beach access. 20 min to la Jolla. Great remodel on room at least #204. Horrible ammenties, The free breakfast is some fruit at the front, but good fruit. Great staff, let us store our bags in the office till our room opened up. Decent property, about 500 yards from the beach. Would be great if thet kept some boogie boards around to loan out. No coffee or work out room No pool.

We liked everything except there was no pool.

We did not realize our room had a view of a wall and the bathroom window looked into a storage room. It was like being in a prison cell. The location is great if you don’t plan to spend any time at the hotel. The pool is nearby and decent, we swam there once and had it all to ourselves. It wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great either. It was clean, remodeled, and decorated cute. I’m not picky about hotels, but I did wish I had spent more and got a better hotel. The location can’t be beat though, especially if you’re kid-less. If you are bringing kids I would go closer to mission beach. Pacific Beach is younger and more party focused. We booked a day at the pool at the Catamaran and that hotel is amazing; sure wish we had spent a little more and stayed there!

Very clean room, bathroom was immaculate. Marina, the front desk lady, was extremely kind and helpful.

Parking was the only issue, everything was clean.
