First trip to San Diego. Always nervous to choose where to stay for location. The staff was great. Really appreciated some extra help once we got there. The Expedia description had a few errors but the staff helped us get what we were expecting + more. They worked with us to make our whole party happy. Loved the location and that parking was easy and if we wanted we could walk to several things OR easy to get car in and out and get to places we wanted to visit. (would love if it didn't cost extra, but knew it did and that was expected.. but liked that we could park right close and come and go easily) The cleaning staff was very friendly. Maintenance was needed once and they arrived within 5 minutes for an easy fix. Nice to have cookies and cold water available when wanted. The firepit outside was nice to hang out after a long day. The food was decent. Not my favorite, but met expectations and same as expected.

More food at the breakfast

Great hotel! Salvador is the best! Thank you so much

Breakfast and location Payment for the parking
-
The goodie bag they provide when we checked in and I even got an upgrade to my room Probably paying 40 bucks for parking but I understand
-
High floor requested with reservation three months in advance. Got second floor. Desk staff implied that regular customers had priority, said she would get her manage to contact me and explain. Never heard a word from the manager or anybody else for the remaining 6 days of our stay. Certainly less than expected from Marriott.

Great location with reasonable walking distance to Little Italy and Pier area. The breakfast was satisfying with great variety . Covered/Gated parking would be better or at least visible cameras and or security due to all the homelessness in the area concern for theft.
-
Great location within walking distance to Harbor Dr and downtown area where there are many restaurants and bars. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very nice. The rooms were clean and adequate but a little dated and the parking situation was bad. The parking lot was very cramped and had limited spaces. Our AC didn’t work super well and the bed was not very comfortable.

Awesome and helped me with an early check in

The hotel was located very close to the airport and the San Diego Zoo. It was quiet, and the breakfast was decent. The only negative I would say is that the parking was limited. We paid for two days, and when we returned from our outing on our last day, there was only one spot left next to some bushes, and I had to let the family out, pull in really close, and climb out the back trunk of the car to exit. Beware of the parking.

Our room was clean and very quiet from outside noise which was great since we were by the rail. Breakfast was good, always hot and a good selection for something quick to start the day.

Enjoyed the breakfast, pleasant check in, welcoming baggage storage, front desk cookies a treat

The front desk was very friendly, there was an “air freshener” at reception desk that was not pleasant, kind of a sickening sweet smell. The morning buffet breakfast was decent. The outside of the hotel was loitered by homeless people but they didn’t bother us or our vehicle. Nice room, train could be heard pretty loud in our room (4th floor) when passing by. Lastly, we asked for late check out which would have been 1 pm, my husband works night and wanted to get as much sleep as possible. Unfortunately the cleaning staff knocked on our door at 10 am and he couldn’t get back to sleep. We checked out and I informed the front desk and the front desk person was very nice and apologized and said she’d l speak to housekeeper about it but it was a moot point.
-
Location and pool was great Very expensive for the hotel amenities the room and bathroom were very outdated
-
Central location Noisy - train and irrespectful guests partying until wee hours and staff did not intervene to make them stop
-
Roaches in room, dirty heating vents, ripped curtains with masking tape to hold curtains together and mold and built up grime in bathroom and hair in bathtub
-
Friendly staff Clean rooms Comfy bed The train passing by 3 times in the night blowing it’s horn. Not the hotel’s fault but something to consider
-
We enjoyed the breakfast, there was a little something for everyone. The building could use some upgrades, to make it a little more modern. It’s a good location, across the street from a lovely park, and the bay front , where there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, for most. It is a slight noisy due to the trains. Would I stay again…absolutely.
-
The rooms were very outdated nothing like the pictures and if you stay in the back side of the hotel there is a train that passes often with horn sounding that was not listed and there is no hot tub
