Cedar Point's Castaway Bay

The only nice thing was the wood floors instead of carpet in rooms Staff was not very polite. Was woken up all night by slamming of doors sounding like people were coming into our rooms. 3/4 of the water park was closed due to lower staffing and was never made aware

Clean up to date hotel. Our only complaint is the mattress. The springs were noticeable and uncomfortable and the air conditioning made a weird noise when it was coming on

The room itself was moderately clean, but the windows were absolutely covered in debris and bugs. The hotel seems outdated. I rated the amenities "poor" only because there were none. Everything cost extra. The elevators were very small and incredibly slow. I'm not sure if staff was friendly, since no one really spoke to us.

We choose to stay here for the "big kid" waterpark activities, slides, wave pool etc. Unfortunately they were closed besides 1 activity at a time that they rotated the whole weekend we stayed. They said they didn't have staffing to open it was unfortunate. just the kid play area was open the entire time, not even the little slides were accessible and we paid a lot of money to stay here. We were disappointed.

The location of this hotel to Cedar Point is perfect. My family stayed here for 2 nights while we visted Cedar Point. The hotel does offer various activities for the kids to do while there. We took pictures at night outside by the water and it was beautiful. For the price, I feel like there needs to be WAY more attention to cleanliness and staffing. The hotel was dirty, covered in spiders inside the lobby. I know that spiders will be present outside because of the water, but inside the main lobby, there were LOADS of cobwebs and spiders. It appeared NO ONE has cleaned the inside the lobby in a very long time. The hotel itself was very understaffed. We visited the water park twice, once on Friday evening and the next on Sunday morning. We were never able to visit all the water park had to offer because so many sections were closed. My husband had to ask a manager to help open the wave pool so my kids could enjoy it. At one point on Sunday morning, the entire waterpark was closed except the wave pool (all slides). It is dissapointing because it's not a large water park and we spend so much money to enjoy it, just to be told to exit the hot tub for the morning. Every aspect of the hotel was understaffed. We spent a very long time trying to get a coffee at the small food area in the main lobby because there was only one worker the entire weekend. She was super pleasent tho! All in all, we WOULD return, but I would suggest paying a bit more attention to the dirt/cobwebs, and try and staff the hotel better.

This first room was nasty mildew couch room stunk dirt all over the wall moved us to a different room dirty had to stand in someone's dirt in the tub cause it was dirty and the water didn't drain on toddler stuff open at water part short staffed the one lifeguard named Alex was rude and nasty went to get a breakfast sandwich at 730 am already sold out I mean it goes on terrible trip would not recommend this place at all

Terrible experience. Half of everything was shut down either half the time or all the time. Not enough staff to keep everything open at once. Ridiculous for the amount of money spent. Prices should reflect “end of season” if that’s just how it is with Cedar point employees. So disappointed.

Half the water park was closed, this is the second time we booked a stay here this year we called a couple days in advance and they said everything was open, kids were tired of riding only 1 slide that was open the wave pool was closed all weekend it just wasn’t as fun as it usually is very disappointed

The room all have a mold Iike smell, had to switch rooms. Water park closes at 8pm! The hotel was Short staffed. Would not stay there again.

It’s perfect for young kids, near six flags and good breakfast (buffet). I recommend it

The room really wasn’t up to the standards. It didn’t seem clean enough. The electric outlets were blocked off to prevent plugging anything in. It just needs a whole new update on everything.

The water park was great,but we didn’t have any hot water in our room,and staff wasn’t concerned about it at all even refusing to discuss a discount The staff refused to give us a discount due to no hot water,they flat out said we could go elsewhere
