Nice Plato stay who going to Crdar Point. Nice pool and hot tub !

Great check in experience, wonderful staff, clean room! With the AC on we couldn’t hear anyone in the pool, which was directly outside of our room - so that was really great too!

If I ever find myself in Sandusky again, I'll be staying here!

Staff was very friendly! They do have a small continental breakfast available with breads, muffins, bagels and fruit.

Hi there, this is older but nicely maintained and well run motel. Rooms were clean and good size for family of four. The front desk staff were very nice (and family oriented). Breakfast was basic but neat with the automatic pancake maker. Proximity to Cedar Point amusement park was great as well. We arrived late and didn't use pool, but there were many families using the pool and slide, and they looked to be having a nice time.

The location is perfect if you plan on spending lots of time at Cedar Point, which we did. The rooms looked to have been updated recently and were a good size. All of them appeared to have a view of the central pool area. The pool was fantastic for the kids, used the two waterslides for hours. The hot tub was actually hot and great to relax in after a long day while the kids played in pool. The breakfast was what I would call medium hotel grade.....or continental plus. Standard stuff like muffins, bread, yogurt, boiled eggs, cereal, and pancakes. Not exactly healthy stuff but is more appealing to Americans and children I suppose. Beware of the vending machine. Put $4 in there, only given credit for $3 and then it wouldn't actually dispense any items or give money back. Simply stole my $4 so wouldn't try it again.

We had a great 1-night stay at the South Shore Inn. The rooms were good, especially the large well-lit mirror over the bathroom sink, it helped light up the entire room. The AC worked well, the bed was comfortable, and the refrigerator and microwave were very useful. My grandson loved the outdoor pool, especially the slides. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. For the price, this was a wonderful place to stay and I would certainly go back.

We had a great stay. Room was clean, staff was always helpful and available. Great pool, nice breakfast.

Loved the jet tub. Staff were very welcoming andfriendly. It's tucked away and we didn't have to work around other guest due to the buildings layout. It has a very palm.beach mid 70's lux vibe. Every inch of the building looked new and the pool was amazing. The best part was the amazing mattress. Best sleep ever for all of us. Loved this place. The kids loved it. It's close to everything.

Staff were awesome! Fixed out tv, hooked us up with pool towels, do eish there was protein for breakfast other than hard boiled eggs n yogurt. No coffee in lobby after breakfast...

Great hotel. We stayed 2 nights and are more than happy with our stay. The only thing i can honestly say negatively is there were no meat options included in the breakfast. Not really a deal breaker for us. I will definitely be back to this hotel.

The hotel looks great in the photos, but the reality is very different. It feels more like an old motel than a hotel. The entrance door was covered with spider webs, and we had to close it quickly every time to keep bugs from getting inside. Overall, the property was disappointing and not well maintained. The only positive was its convenient location, which is very close to Cedar Point.

It was a very nice stay will definitely be staying there again next trip up to cedar point

The room entry was the worst part. The doorframe was covered in spider webs, dead insects, and debris (I've got photos to prove it — it's genuinely bad). Made me hesitant to even open the door at night, since bugs and spiders could easily get in. On top of that, the room had a strong, pungent pesticide smell the moment I walked in. I called the front desk about it, and they told me they had no other rooms to move me to — so I was stuck with it for the night. Breakfast was another letdown — cold and minimal, just bread, doughnuts, cereal, and coffee. Nothing hot, nothing substantial. To be fair, the pool area outside looked decent and matched the photos reasonably well — that's the one thing that held up. But the rooms themselves need real renovation, not just cosmetic touch-ups for marketing photos. I'd think twice before booking again unless things change.

The pool was busy constantly which was a bummer but otherwise great!

There’s no way that this place should have a 9.0 score on the Expedia app. This place was an absolute dump. They must have been scamming reviews or something there’s no other explanation. For the price I paid I feel like I got totally scammed.
