South Shore Inn

Room was clean and well maintained, if a bit small. Included continental breakfast was eminently adequate. Beds were comfortable. Pool is a very nice hotel, not a backyard size pool as one sometimes finds. Location was excellent, very close to the Cedar Point entrance. Would stay again.

Had to ask for towels and more TP, but everything else was great! Will definitely make another trip there.

All was actually good. However I really needed to have a jetted tub for medical reasons. On the Expedia website this is actually an inaccurate listing for the Deluxe Double Room. This room doesn't have a jetted tub.

Air conditioner was not working right but the staff was helpful and brought another ac in that worked! The main thing was the refrigerator froze all of our stuff. The breakfast was ok, it has the same breakfast everyday as the only main entree was pancakes. No eggs, bacon, or sausage. So that was disappointing as I don't think this place is worth that much. But it was a nice little stay

Staff was super accommodating and friendly. Offered you free bottles of water. Pool was very clean and fun with two slides. Kids had so much fun. Very close and convenient to Cedar Point. Bed was comfortable and had a refrigerator and microwave in room. It’s an older property but well maintained and very clean.

We had a great stay here. Loved the complimentary water bottles! Also, having a jetted tub in our room was a pleasant surprise! Highly recommend staying here.

Nice vintage vibe motel, clean and comfortable. We requested and received connecting rooms (greatly appreciated) and one of our rooms had a small kitchenette. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Very close to Cedar Point amusement park. Could hear other guest being loud in other rooms late a night and there are trains near by that pass through blowing whistles very early in the morning. Easy to get to and near restaurants and shopping.

Very clean and spacious rooms.

When we booked the room, it showed the King Size bed, but the picture showed a jet powered tub, and we only had a regular tub/shower. There was the hot tub available with the pool, but we wanted the personal/private jet-powered tub in the room as shown in the picture. There was no comfortable chair for the 2 of us in the room to sit on in order to relax and watch TV before going to bed for the evening. Staff was great, breakfast was great, but felt we were totally misled on the room. We did not pay for the room we were expecting from the pictures, so greatly disappointed.

I like that there's a free breakfast included but it is a small selection.

The staff was welcoming and very friendly. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There's a mini fridge and microwave. The complimentary breakfast was small but enjoyable (pancakes, bagels, mini donuts and muffins, apples, bananas, Activia yogurt, hard boiled eggs, apple and orange juice and coffee.) The outdoor pool has 2 slides and a hot tub. They even have a swingset, picnic tables, and a basketball hoop. There were several baseball tournaments in Sandusky during our stay and our hotel had a lot of teenage boys staying there. The room next to us had a few of them and the walls are pretty thin! They were outside playing basketball until midnight, then bouncing the ball outside of our upstairs rooms and then bouncing it against the wall. I could still hear them screaming in their room at 2:30am even with the AC, the TV on and earplugs in. Whatever, they're kids. The next night without them there was a lot more quiet. For our 2 day stay to visit Cedar Point, this hotel was a great deal and we would definitely stay here again.

The pool was a highlight my kids loved it and it was a nice break! Breakfast was good with automatic pancake makers. Staff were friendly and room was clean. We’ll stay again if we ever go to cedar point again.

The pool area was pretty nice and we rather enjoyed the hot tub also. There's a picnic area in the back with a pavilion and a gril, with swings and even a place to play basketball. For a family in town for parks and things, its an affordable alternative where everyone can have fun and sleep comfortably.

We had a great stay, no issues and room was really nice, we would definitely stay again.

Parking lot in bad shape. Door didn't close tight so the noise from the outdoor pool was excessive.
