Good beds awesome ac currently under remodel not many food options in walking distance

The Hampton Inn in Santa Rosa was being remodeled. We had two kids ages 6 and 4 and the big reason we booked this particular hotel was to have the kids swim in the pool upon arrival. The pool was closed. Not good! Plus this was not disclosed on your website. Not good! No pool.

It was under construction so checking in was difficult. The elevator made awful noises so we took the stairs. The pool was closed. The workout room smelled of strong chemicals and the treadmill wasn't working. The room smelled bad and the beds hurt due to springs poking up.

We typically stay at this location on our summer trip with no issues, but this year the hotel was being renovated and was quite the mess everywhere. Virtually everything including the pool and other amenities was closed. Renovation showed everywhere including our halls and rooms. But, we received no discount. I'll be re-assessing next year where to stay as we travel again.

For the most part the hotel was okay. The problem came in when we got to our room and the electronic door lock showed green and the door was still locked. The cleaning crew that was on the floor at the time couldn’t open it either. I went down to the front desk and the woman told me that I needed to insert the key card, then remove it and count to four. She said that might work. I told her I wanted a different room with a lock that actually worked. She looked irritated but finally gave me the room next to the original. The key worked initially but eventually I had to keep inserting the key card to get the light to turn green. Thankfully it was for only one night.

they were under construction - wallpaper coming off the walls in the hallway, big smelly hole where the ice maker would go....loose and broken tiles on the floor in out bathroom.....over priced for the accommodations

At times the elevator didn't work the entire building was under construction I picked that hotel because they had a game room the game room was closed they had converted it into the breakfast room on the last day we were not allowed to use the pool that was the second reason I picked that hotel it been fine if I would have paid less however I paid the premium price I would like a partial refund t krenik

Under construction and a mess. But more importantly, I left some jewelry that was very important to me and I called the evening of checkout and again for the next 2 days to notify and get an update. I was told each time that the manager would call me and she did not call. When I was finally told they did not locate my jewelry, I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was in a meeting and asked to hold for a brief moment. Over 30 minutes on hold and she never came to the phone and no one called me. I understand leaving my jewelry was my fault. But I know I left my jewelry there and this should have been handled differently. At least a call and explanation of the attempt they made to locate my items. Employees should also be held accountable for their wrongs. Very disappointing and I would not recommend this location to anyone based on my experience there.

It was a great breakfast full breakfast with lots of options great coffee good food. Loved it. Nothing it was great

I wish I could give zero stars. Terrible location. Very overpriced. Gross breakfast and dirty rooms.

Upon arriving we found the lobby to be under construction. There was a huge centipede just outside our room and the door to the outside was propped open. The room was not cleaned - trash in the trash can, room not vacuumed, and crickets in the bathroom. It was a windy night and it whistled through the A/C vent all night. Our stay was further worsened by my kids and wife sneezing all night because the hotel is "pet" friendly. We asked for another room, but we were notified there wasn't another room similar and every room is pet welcome. Thus we suffered through a sleepless night in a situation that the hotel could not fix even when notified.

The hotel was under construction and I’m extremely disappointed I paid what I did for that experience. The ice machine didn’t work, the treadmill was broken, the door to our room didn’t properly close, the beds were uncomfortable and the tvs didn’t work. There were flies all over the breakfast items.

Friendly staff and close to food and shopping. Not too far from the swimming hole either.

The hotel is nice but the bedsheets and the pillowcases were not clean. We contacted the front desk and a nice lady brought up clean sheets and changed them out. The new sheets were clean, smelled clean then a stained pillow case lead to new pillowcases.

Can't say I can think of anything

The bed was very soft. Had a hard time sleeping.
