Great property. Very well-appointed. Love the ability to sit by the lake or by the fire or walk downtown for coffee or to a trail or hop in the car for a beautiful drive. Excellent stay!

Housekeeping didn’t reach our room till 4:45pm… even though we had left sign out requesting clean and had left the room for hours… when we got back… she was about to enter the room but expected us to request no clean because we were back and it hadnt been started… did very quick and rough job… only gave one water when policy is 2… and just to compensate us for waiting for her… Dinner menu is very heavy… no healthy or light options except the cauliflower steak

Nice location on the lake, great hot tub and good restaurant. The room and bed were very comfortable and clean.

The pool is near the front desk and across from the elevators, so if you're sensitive to chlorine, like I am, you should wear an N95 mask to come and go. The food was great, and the restaurant was far from the pool, so that was fine. The staff were very friendly. We had a great stay, aside from the chlorine issue.

Very nice lake view from patio. Restaurant on site wasn’t open during our stay. Room very dated but renovations done to the best of their abilities on a motel built in the ‘30’s.

The view from our room was amazing! We had a great time in the hotel the bed was comfortable, the room was big and clean and the pool was very nice as well. More lighting in the living area

We enjoyed this hotel before the height of the tourist season, and got a great deal on a beautiful room. The pool and hot tub were clean and enjoyed during some chilly, rainy weather. The location of the hotel is within walking distance to all that Saranac Lake has to offer.

Cons - we were traveling with a dog. Asked about dog-friendly restaurants. Staff not helpful. Sent us to two restaurants that were not dog friendly. Maybe create an up-to-date list of dog friendly restaurants. River Trail Beer works was great! Very accommodating. Pesticides were sprayed on property without prior communication. Not a great idea when you are traveling with a dog. A separate area should have been mainlined without the pesticide for dog. Thanks.
