Good place to stay for the value. Would stay again. A/C seriously could for Florida summer heat.

Everything you need. Some noise from the road. Ask for a pool view room.

Our room was OK for the price. Some of the lights weren't working. We didn't stay in the room except to sleep & shower. The bed was comfortable & we slept well. I swear the rooms must be sound proof. I know there was a family below us with noisy kids & I never heard them except when I was outside. What really makes this lodging worthwhile to me was the awesome pool area & the Tiki Hut bar! The pool area rivals that of exclusive hotels & the bar had ambiance & great drinks! I'd definitely stay here again.

I didnt know what to expect when I chose this place bc the price was great and Ive been fooled by online pictures before. And when I pulled up I was a little nervous. But my fears were immediately sudsided when I walked in and the first thing I noticed was how it looked recently updated and clean and then was greeted by a helpful informative and friendly desk attendant that worked w a sense of urgency. I found my parking spot quick and then my room and walked in and was flooded with a sense of relief when i realized the pictures matched the room. It too looked recently updated and clean. Also the rooms were quiet the hotel was full and I didnt hear anyone else. They also hooked me up w a free drink ticket so I walked over and checked out the Tiki Hut Bar. Once again I was greeted by friendly attentive and entertaining bartenders. They also have a pool and hot tub. And a working ice machine. Deff great value here for the price. Great job yall

We booked the property because of the retro ambiance that was preserved despite the renovations / upgrades, and we weren't disappointed. The staff was very helpful and pleasant - which isn't always the case nowadays. There were a few things that need to be touched up or repaired; but, the room was clean and the beds were VERY comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay when visiting the Ringling....

Motel style with dispersed parking spots and doors facing the parking lot. The tiki bar is low grade and it's okay if you don't want to go into town. It was a rainy night so there was very little crowd. The room was musky and looked like there had been some water damaged.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was beautiful and spacious. My husband and I utilized the pool area several times. The drinks at the bar were amazing! Staff were helpful. I will be booking again the next time I'm in Sarasota.

We've stayed twice and we'll be back. Two different room types. The premier king with balcony was great. We figured out we are more of the basic king room kinda folks there. Love the retro feel that the rooms have. All the employees were helpful and awesome. The Tiki Bar is a sweet touch and met some great locals that come and Staycation.

Staff was great! Rooms clean and housekeeping was on it! Beautiful pool area and loved our private patio!

The environment was very pleasant and it was easy access to airport and close to downtown!

The staff was friendly and welcoming, the outdoor pool was a real highlight, and parking was easy and convenient. While the bathrooms could use a bit more attention, overall this place offers excellent value for the price—you really can’t ask for more.

My wife and I were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. It was close to many places such as First Watch, Walmart, Trader Joe's etc. The only downside to this hotel, and our experience staying there was the bed. The mattress lies on a platform box spring which is bigger than the mattress itself.As a result, at the end of the bed (we had a king size) on both sides the overlapping platform sticks out. I hit my shin bone twice which broke my skin. My wife also hit her shin and was in alot of pain. I had to put shoes on the floor at the edge of the bed to help us to be aware of the hazzard that the bed posed. If all the beds are like this, I would not stay at this hotel again 😒.

Had a very pleasant stay at the Golden Host. Front desk staff was very pleasant and so was the bartender at the Tiki Bar, Tyler. The room decor was very nice, and it was spotless. Would definitely recommend.

It was a very clean place with a very friendly staff. Excellent stay.
