Holiday Inn Express Boston - Saugus by IHG

Breakfast was always fresh and plenty. Front desk staff were always friendly and available. The housekeeping staff were always smiling and willing to talk.

It’s clearly an old property that has been upgraded. Location is difficult to get to. Limited restaurant choices.

The only drawback from me giving this hotel five stars is it's location on Route 1. The sinage at the turn off/driveway is hard to see and we missed it the first time trying to enter. To get anywhere, you must merge into 50+ mph traffic. Going across the road to Walmart and restaurants is no easy task. I know it's not their fault. I would stay again if the road was re-worked into something more user friendly.

Great hotel

Basic hotel right next to the highway with lots of road noise all night from our room.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and never had a bad experience. The staff is always helpful, the location is reasonably centered to restaurants. A car is more useful, but I like to walk, so I have at least 10 locations within a 10 - 15 minute walk. The breakfast is reasonable and my rooms have always been clean. This is my go to spot when I am in the Saugus area.

This place is amazing as usual! Staff are so sweet and this place feels just like home. Very comfortable and quiet and relaxing.

The petite black lady at the front desk was extremely efficient and very courteous. I wish I had her name but I forgot to ask . She had the most pleasant smile and was very helpful.

Good location, staff really helpful. Parking lot, elevator and pool can use a refresh.

Good place to stay

The hotel was great, but the surrounding area wasn't very appealing. The pool looked ok, but it was in the parking lot and just seems out of place. We did not use it. Overall a great experience. We will be back!
