Holiday Inn Express Boston - Saugus by IHG

From the friendly staff upon entry to the lovely breakfast offered, this was a stellar HIE. While our room lacked a microwave, there was a nice sized mini fridge. Towels were fresh and appeared to be new; and the liquid Dove bathroom products were lovely. We were there during the recent nor’easter and found it comfortable and extremely clean. Good job, Saugus staff!

Breakfast, workout room The toilet was extremely low to sit upon. The Treadmills and other machines should face the TVs-in the workout room .

The cleaning staff work hard and the room was well cleaned. The breakfast was continental well laid out and tasted good. The tea station is located in the lobby and stocked. The location is fine and a 10-15 min walk to eating options. Walmart is literally on the opposite side of the highway, and CVS about a 4 min walk. I stayed 2 occasions.. 1. Sept 15 to 17 - the check in staff were welcoming, as soon as we entered the lobby and very helpful when asked questions. On the second occasion, my recent stay for one night Sept 28 to 29, upon entering the lobby there was no acknowledgement by the reception staff. I was however grateful that we were afforded early check in . Upon check out at 2:15 am, the front desk male reception did not acknowledge and was snobbish. He made me feel very uncomfortable like I was bothering him when I asked for a receipt and a lid for my cup of tea. I am still awaiting the copy of the receipt he said would be emailed. Hotels are a customer service sector and guests should not feel shunned. Everyone should be treated equally.

We just when to sleep for 5 hrs due to a delayed flight, not change to check anything we arrived at 10.00 pm just shower sleep and leave at 3.30 in the morning.

the good 1- clean and fresh lobby 2- very nice employees we interacted with on the front desk and lobby area 2 problems for us 1- our room was not clean. like carpets has 2 big stain spots , the window was duck tapped in some parts . Also there were some smell in our room and the way to the room. maybe from previous residents or from the hallway , but it was so strong 2- Parking is a problem . very small drop by area and if there is one car in it it can take the whole space. it was raining when we arrived and we had to park the car and wheel in the bags in rain to the lobby

Beds were very comfortable but the bathroom can use an update it is so small it’s uncomfortable and very old. It did have good water pressure. Breakfast was decent and really good coffee. In general the stay was good just needs a bit of updating

I think this was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at! The room was absolutely gorgeous, the bed was super comfortable, the hotel and room was very clean, the hotel was decorated for Halloween which was cute, the staff were very nice, and the complimentary breakfast was good. I honestly didn’t have a problem with anything!

The check in was streamless. Staff friendly. The early morning drive to the airport took us under 15 minutes, which was convenient. My husband and I had an early flight in the morning. When I checked in, I asked about getting breakfast to go. I was told to ask the front desk person and they would get something for us. In the morning, the front desk person knew nothing about it. He was able to find us some fruit, yogurt and a muffin, though he wasn't very happy about it.

It needed some updating hard to get in and out with the parking.
