Eliza Thompson House, Historic Inns of Savannah Collection

another morning we asked for towels when we went out for the day and was told the room was full service so they would be replaced, when we returned in the late afternoon no towels so we asked again and they brought towels. the next morning I told the desk clerk that the room hasn't been cleaned since we arrived, that day it was cleaned but no toilet paper or washcloths. Out of 5 days stay our room was cleaned the last 2 days. Breakfast was nice but children size portions and no seconds. It is not usually in our budget for a fancy place but we made an exception. Sorry to say we were disappointed.

Nell on the staff was the sunshine in the stay. The bed was also comfortable. The breakfast was challenging if you're on a keto diet. They do not give extra when asked. Glad I brought my protein shakes. Overall was an okay experience. I do not plan to stay here again.

Great location and very well maintained

Staff were personable and available. We especially enjoyed the day shift team. House is old and dated with areas of improvement needed. Breakfast was underwhelming for the price. Location was the key factor for staying here.

Beautiful historic home with friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay and really enjoyed breakfast in the courtyard each morning. The location is central to everything and the staff were very helpful.

Open at 8 am is mythical unless you like dry Cheerios from the sparse continental table. Getting served waffles (with half ration of syrup and no butter) and sausages are another level of complexity altogether.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. The inn is comfortable and conveniently located on a beautiful street in the heart of the historic district.

The Eliza Thompson House is one of the very finest Inns my wife and I have ever had the pleasure of being a guest in. The street this historic Inn is located on has been voted the most beautiful street in America by travel magazines and the Inn itself is meticulously maintained inside and out. The innkeepers are very pleasant, helpful, and have taken great lengths to create a very welcoming and comfortable environment for their guests. The beautiful parlor room has coffee and cold beverages available at all times, and every evening wine and a large platter full of delicious slices of Italian meats and cheeses are served. The evening is capped off with homemade cakes or pastries at the end of the day. Breakfast is quite excellent and is prepared by James or Deangelis and served in the interior garden courtyard each morning. Our room was beautiful, clean, well-appointed and very comfortable. All of this said, it truly remains the inns staff that made our stay so memorable. We were treated with kindness, concern for our comfort throughout our stay, and a clear willingness by the staff to guide us to the best points of interest and restaurants in Savannah. Our visit to Savannah could not have been more pleasant. We give the Eliza Thompson Inn 5 out of 5 Stars,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Eliza Thompson House! It was the quintessential place to stay for our visit to Savannah and the staff was accommodating and charming!

Great location, friendly staff and nice garden area. Wine and cheese and dessert were a nice added touch. Breakfast was a good combination of continental and a hot item. Nothing fancy but was good.

Nice and relaxing. We didnt lean too hard on the staff... everyone was friendly and accommodating. We look forward to staying there again.

We have been coming here for over 15 years, we always give an overall 5 Star rating, unfortunately, this place has changed so much in the last year, this is the last time we will stay here. It was our go to getaway, it is in a beautiful area, however, whomever owns this property has changed so many things, it was like a lower priced hotel, not a wonderful Bed & Breakfast Inn. No longer do they have someone at the front desk 24x7, they lock the front door at 10pm and give you a code, if you need someone, call another number! Last stay, I had a bad reaction in the middle of the night from a chemical smell in the room, had there not been someone at the desk, we would have to have left the Inn. The staff that is left is great, but they are short staffed, so our room was not even cleaned on our 2nd day's visit until after 3pm, there was only 1 maid, that impacted our stay, after a long hot afternoon, we wanted to stay in the room, but couldn't because no one knew when the maid would get there. Also, the day we arrived, it was sweltering outside and in the room upon checking in, they knew we were coming, but no one turned the AC on, it took hours to cool down, is that how you save money now? Also, the breakfast 'menu/process' has changed, which is horrible now, you have 1 Chef entre to choose from or eat cereal toast or hot yogurt, but still pay a $70 amenities daily even if you don't eat their breakfast, cheese or dessert. We had other issues like dirty bathroom by desk,no TP

This bed & breakfast is nestled in the beautiful historic district with many parks, shops and restaurants very close by. I loved breakfast in the courtyard!

The breakfast was the only thing that wasn't a 10 of out 10 during our stay. Everything tasted a bit plan.

Great location and very friendly front desk staff. The historic building is beautiful, and you can tell the owners are making an effort to preserve its character over the years. Unfortunately, the breakfast didn’t live up to our expectations, and the service during breakfast could have been much better. There were fresh-looking stains on the face towels, almost like some kind of strange slime. It gave us the impression that they hadn’t been changed. Other than that, the room was fairly clean.
