Wonderful hotel and staff
-
This is definitely not a luxury hotel. Please don’t let the picture fool you. It’s an historical hotel that was cheaply renovated. I e machine didn’t work. The hallways were dirty. The pool is very small. The picture makes it look about 4 times bigger. The food at the restaurant was okay 6/10. They charge $59 a night for parking!! They’ll tell you it’s $53, but then add $5.95 in fees. The staff was good though.

Beautiful lobby and great restaurant on premises for breakfast.

Chek in was quick, room was clean. This is our third stay at the DeSoto in the past couple of years. Very much enjoy our stays there.
-
Bar doesn’t offer extended working hours! Pool get a little congested. Hotel only offers valet parking!!!

You cannot get a person on the end of the phone at either concierge or front desk. Tried literally over 30 times no exaggeration. They were perfectly nice but for want of a nicer way to explain pretty much a Motley Crew. We also weren’t told that Valet was $60/night not that the price matters. Perspective the Four Seasons in Miami charges the same but informs you on check in. Back to the Motley Crew 😉

Great location,very good overall experience

Loved the location. Loved the people. Beds were extremely comfortable. I know it’s an older building but the pipes make some bad noises periodically while showering. The floors in the room, maybe the carpets were a little dirty, didn’t notice until I washed my feet in the tub. Sliding door to the balcony did not shut well. Ice maker on 3 & 4 did not work. Overall great stay. Would definitely love to come back.

Very clean room and nice view to the pool ✅

This is my second time staying at the DeSoto. Both experiences were great. The staff were amazing. The 1540 breakfast was delicious. You have to have the grits, they are the best I’ve ever had. Stay at the DeSoto, you won’t be disappointed!
-
Very nice, clean room. Parking was a little inconvenient at times. Valet was pricey so we had to find street parking whenever we left. But, overall was a very nice stay.
-
This place was a over night stay last minute and was a great pick. Very clean nice view of the city looking forward to returning.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location in Savannah.
-
Downtown location was fantastic, easy walking to great restaurants, parks, and the waterfront. The front desk staff and valet service were friendly and helpful. The coffee/breakfast bar was convenient and yummy. The bar area was cozy although service was a bit slow
-
Check in was easy, hotel staff were helpful, valet were exceptionally helpful and engaging. It was easy to navigate to our trolley and other activities we chose to do. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was good and many options on the menu. We ate other meals outside the restaurant. The concierge was great at giving information on where to consider eating. We loved Savannah and the staff and location of The Desoto made our stay warm and welcoming.
-
I loved the hotel, however, there was a miscommunication with a room upgrade and I was charged even though Expedia said that I had a complimentary upgrade. Other than not honoring the upgrade and charging me $100, I enjoyed the hotel!
-
Valet Staff was very helpful, Reese in particular! The rest of the staff was not very helpful or friendly. Room was very basic for the price. No refrigerator or microwave. Restaurant was closed a lot. We didn’t get a chance to eat there and we were there for 4 days.
-
The breakfast staff were so friendly and helpful!! There were certain front desk staff that went over and above being friendly and helpful with services there was others not so friendly! But that would not stop us from coming back to this hotel
-
Pool was small, gym area was tiny sink in room drain slow
