It an older hotel, small, and noises can be heard when people are walking up and down the stairs, people shouting can be heard at night from the hotel room. Water pressure was very weak in our hotel room. Wifi worked good. Overall it was an okay stay.

Tiny room, which would have been fine if it were the only issue. Water leaked through the ceiling in our bathroom resulting in about 1 inch of standing water in our bathroom and seeping into the bedroom area. Luckily, a charging cord was the only thing that got destroyed from the flooding. We hadn't set anything else on the floors or it would have all been soaked. Moved to a new room. In the new room, the air conditioning unit leaked all night leading to a growing puddle on the carpet. Moved to a new room. In the new room, the air conditioning unit did not work. At all. But we just dealt with it as we were leaving the next morning and we're tired of moving rooms every day. Also, encountered 4 dogs that were definitely NOT service dogs (a hyperactive chihuahua, 2 giant and poorly trained pit bulls, and a dog who was barking so loudly from its room that it could be heard from the Breakfast room 3 floors away). We had booked this hotel specifically because it was supposed to be no pets (other than service animals). We have a family member with severe dog allergies who really struggled and had to be doped up on benadryl the whole time. The front desk staff was lovely and really did do all they could, but the property is just poorly maintained, it seems nothing is fixed properly, and the no pet rule is not enforced. I would definitely not stay here again and I would absolutely not recommend it to others.

The beds were clean, but the rooms need to be updated. There are stains on the ceiling, cracks in the bathroom, the bathtub needs drano as the water clogs when you shower. The breakfast area was okay. Its unfortunate that they didn't have pancakes. Reading earlier reviews, it seems this has been 'out of order' for some time. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's a decent hotel in a good location but stars lost for state of rooms and breakfast area.

Wonderful property. Friendly staff. Next to In n Out, yoi can literally walk there. The pool and jacuzzi were tons of fun. Highly recommend!

The rooms were too small and the insulation of the room was not good. The elevator was outdated and the wait time was too long. Parking was free, there was free WiFi. Didn’t have the time to try the pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast was okay. Not too many variety for the food. The gym was good, breakfast room was comfortable. There was coffee and hot water available 24 hours. Overall this hotel was overpriced for the value they charge the customers. Another good thing, the hotel is right next to In-N-Out Burgers restaurant. Downtown Monterey was -10 minutes away.

Room was clean. Staff was friendly.

Our stay started off on a bad note. Check in was 3pm, I arrived at 3pm. No rooms available. There were two other groups also waiting for a room. Had to wait an hour for our room. While we were waiting a man came up to the desk to complain about a broken shower. Sorry, we don't have another room to give you. Can I speak to a manager? No, no one available. How about tomorrow? No one is coming in. Solution? Send us an email. NOT a way to run a hotel. (The young lady at the front desk was professional and courteous, not her fault) My room was clean except for the filthy bathroom door. Two lights didn't work in the room. The elevator was dirty and smelled like urine. Not worth the money spent.

Clean room and breakfast.

Una estancia muy agradable. Habitación limpia, cama cómoda y un ambiente tranquilo para descansar. El personal fue amable y atento. Sin duda, una experiencia que hizo mi viaje aún más especial. ✨🏨

We did the check in at 5-pm, they gave us the room and it was not ready, the place it’s really dirty, also the toilet was clogged.

I often stay at Holiday Inn. This was one of the worst as far as the facilities, which were old, looked old, including the rooms, bathrooms, the pool area, and the rest. The breakfast was the most mediocre we have had at Holiday Inns. The only thing that is positive, it did not look particluarly dirty, and the staff was very nice. Terrible price/value ratio. Excessively expensive for what we got.

Poor cleaning, noisy, awful breakfast

old AC

Overall the property could of had been cleaner. The room i was staying in had a musty smell. Even with the ac on the smell was strong. Only positive i would give is the location. In n out is right next door.

The rooms were dirty (bathtub, carpet, soap and lotion dispenser) but some of the amenities were clean (sheets, new wall paper, breakfast room). The elevator was falling apart (floor paneling and buttons that didn't light up). The breakfast room was clean and the food was decent. The coffee machine was okay, but no option for real milk/milk alternatives to go in the coffee, just shelf-stable creamers. My daughter tried to buy a box of bandaids in the lobby and luckily looked in the box before we bought it, because it was empty.

The room felt very small. The bathroom was especially small. The toilet looked like the tank lid had been broke then glued back together. The ceiling in the bathroom looked like it had been patched and not re-painted. The coffee they served throughout the day, was very good.

Room wasn’t cleaned, toys from the family before were still in the ground. Staff was very rude to us. Flies outside our room. Gap under the door about an inch. AC did not work, also couldn’t move us because they said they were full. I asked for the manager to call me when she got the next morning and still haven’t got a call. Starting at 6am people were yelling outside our door. Also a sick raccoon was on the stairs a majority of the morning.
