Room was extremely small. Chair got stucked more often than not to the rug and was a pain to unstuck. Bathroom was so small that I had difficulty closing the door, let alone bathing. Closet was great in size.

Great conversation, great cafe, fancy lobby , sky bar, and great access to metro with a reasonable price. The only problem was lack of fridge as I needed to throw left overs of my dinner,

The room was a bit dirty and we were worried about bugs we saw and asked the front desk desk if it was bed bugs. The front desk attendant stated she does not know and to send an email to her manager. It was advertised free parking but there was only valet parking. Which was about $50. We tipped the guy $5 as well. And he left our car in the middle of the road at a red light. We had to run and throw our bags in to not hold up traffic.

Amazing location and friendly staff. Art deco decor was really well done. Really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here for a wedding hoping we could hang out at the roof top bar. As hotel guests, it was very difficult to get up there and our other family members couldn't meet us there easily. They sold us drinks in the lobby while we waited to go up and when we got up there were told, we couldn't drink them there. The whole experience was not good. They gave me a resort fee credit. Resort fee for what? Crazy policy. The lobby and the coffee shop are cool.

The hotel has a wonderful art deco UW charm. It was comfortable, spacious and our room had a lovely view. We appreciated the convenience of its location in the U district.

There was no breakfast and I wasn’t told about the restaurant credit until I checked out, so had to rush to get a cup of coffee.

The style of the hotel is great. No microwave, no fridge, the bathroom needs a deep cleaning (lots of old dirty grout), and the parking fee is insane! $46 plus an $11 tax. They force you to use valet. I think it's overpriced for what you get.
-
I didn’t like you had to have someone get you up on top floor for drinks. Not a friendly hotel for hanging out.

First of all I am so disappointed on how far gone Seattle is. We lived there years ago and I used to love to go downtown I always felt safe. Now it is like LGBTQ are thrown in your face (and I have no issues with it but when it is posted and shoved in your face everywhere you go its not ok just like religion and politics shouldn't be) homeless people passed out everywhere, people walking around in the open doing drugs. We were there for a cruise and there was a mass shooting the day we boarded the ship. This hotel looks amazing when you first walk in but DO NOT BE FOOLED! The elevators do not work we had to drag HEAVY suitcases down the stairs. The room smelled bad, beds were uncomfortable. And you can't eat at the restaurant because there is no seating! I would NEVER stay here again!

This hotel has a great history.....my parents spent their wedding night there in 1947, and I did as well in 1988. The rooms are small but unique has each room has a corner view. There are no refrigerators in the room, and the TV didn't get local channels. Maid service must be requested...it's not automatic. The upstairs bar area is interesting. It has outstanding views, but you need to check in downstairs and each party has to have the hostess come in the elevator and 'key in' the top floor so you can get there. Its crowded and not laid out too well, but the 270 degree views are amazing. It feels very overpriced at over $ 300 a night. The surrounding area has gone down hill greatly with graffiti and blight, knocked down buildings and homeless people very close. It's been kept up about as well as it can be, but cold really use additional elevators. Probably impossible due to the building design. Very nice coffee shop attached with a fun vibe.

When I first checked in, I was put into a room where the door didn’t lock and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned (used soap in the soap dish and hair on the toilet seat and in the shower). RaeAnn at the front desk was great and put me in another room but the first one should have been OOO. I have stayed here many times before and never had this big of an issue but the building and rooms are in dire need of some upgrades.
