Great location.
-
The decor in the hotel and rooms were a bit different than what I’m used to, but overall it’s a nice quiet place to stay.
-
The day staff was helpful but the night staff was incompetent and indifferent. The area surrounding the hotel is run down and unsafe. We did not make it two blocks without being harassed. There is a vacant lot across the street with a broken down car in it. It is horribly overpriced for the room and location. We had an empty space where the fridge was meant to be and we wait three hours for them to bring one in.

This hotel has the best staff. They are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are super clean. The lobby, the cafe, the upstairs bar, and the workout room are perfect. I highly recommend.

Location Dated. Needs refurbishment
-
Possition Very old, the walls were thin, I could here conversation from the next room,

The hotel was great, I loved the decor and vibe. We had never stayed in that area of Seattle before though, probably won’t stay there again because of that. BUT if you like the University district, then you should definitely stay there.

Hidden fees everywhere. Small rooms.

No luggage assistance. We had to haul 5 suitcases without help.

The staff was really nice and the hotel is pretty! But there is an LED light in the room that doesn't turn off at night. When the switch is off, it still glows, almost to reading level and it kept us up all night. The bathtub didn't drain. Location is easy though and room was fine otherwise. The bulb in the light was likely cheap and still draws voltage. Definitely not worth going there again due to these two issues.

Nice staff

When our TV stopped working on day 2 of our week long stay, they were kind enough to move us to an equivalent room after trying to repair the TV for 2 days. However the desk provided in all rooms is pretty useless for working through the week as the chair that goes with it brought my neck in alignment with the table top instead of my elbows. Completely impractical and they definitely need to upgrade the chairs in all the rooms. On the plus, they do provide a long table as workspace in the lobby so that definitely worked out as it was a working week-long stay. Also on the day of checkout which was at 11am, three members of housekeeping stopped by at different times to ask if we wanted cleaning!! :) The cafe in the hotel is good. They had good tea/lemonade and good snacks/breakfast items. I would stay here again if I had a chance as the ambience is very charming although they could do with a few improvements.

Close to the Neptune and lite rail, fun art. Nothing.
-
For the price of the hotel, the rooms should have been renovated. The rooms looked like they really needed work.
-
the room you had to go through a certain exit which is normally locked that staff has to open (sometimes it takes a minute). Also the parking rate is $50 per day. Plenty of paid street parking a block or two away though

The Graduate by Hilton Hotel in the U District Seattle needs a restaurant not just a coffee shop and bar.
-
Hotel was old and considered leaving the first night but the rest of the attendees stayed at the hotel and complained about tvs not working, AC not working and still going back and forth with my $15 per day credit.
-
There was a musty smell and no air circulation in the room. The hotel location is in a bad part of town. I would not even venture down the sidewalk in that area during the day. The rooftop restaurant view was great, but you have to be a patron of the restaurant to go there. The staff was very nice. I checked out the next morning and went elsewhere.

The hotel is very cool and exciting to walk through! So much history! The staff is very kind and helpful. The bedroom was clean, the bathroom was small and had a few hairs when we arrived but was maintained well. The walls are very thin so we could hear our neighbors sometimes but that comes with vintage building. Loved the key cards!!! The coffee shop was great and the bar was amazing too! The valet was kind and helpful as well!! We would definitely come again!
