Breakfast very limited - cold food and cereals only. Coffee ran out every day

Clean room, nice new hotel or at least it felt new if it wasn’t. Great bedding. Loved the hotel.

We booked the one night stay earlier that day since we weren’t sure where our road trip would take us. We were tired after driving for hours but were wonderfully greeted by the front desk clerk. I believe her name is Danette, but I might be wrong. She was friendly, even let us check out the room before completing the booking (she took us upstairs and we liked and kept the room). She gave us some recommendations on where to eat, which turned out to be just the meal we were looking for. The room was very comfortable. It was clean, basic but all you need furniture and as a commercial interior designer, I liked the whimsey and artsy design and patterns and colors throughout the room/hotel. The only comment to make it better was if management could provide a coffee maker in the room. My partner is a “must have coffee immediately upon awakening”. To counter that comment, I must say, the hosted breakfast was great - good strong coffee, hot oatmeal, eggs and sausage in tortillas and wonderful fresh fruit - strawberries, blueberries and boysenberries (or blackberries) - delicious and generous portions available of everything…much better than some of the hotels with bigger nightly costs that we’ve stayed in the bigger cities around the country. Applause to the breakfast chef and manager. We will definitely return to the Spark Hotel to stay again. We were completely happy with out stay.

Property was clean and beds were comfortable. No coffee maker in the room, shower was cold water.

Over priced for the room. Very small bathroom. Moldy smell from the air conditioner. No bathroom vent.

Liked the property very new modern and clean No issues

Convenient location and really friendly staff. Some things were updated and others felt really old. The whirlpool was a nice feature, except the paint was peeling from the bottom in giant chunks.

Outside door was convenient. Unable to collect Hilton rewards points but they’re working on it.

(1) This small renovated motel (formerly a Quality Inn) has a certain charm and appeal, being new in 2025, fresh and clean. The room made a positive impression at first. (2) Despite having a King room facing the motorway, the road noise was not bothersome, especially since the cooler drowned out most everything, including the TV. (3) The breakfast was simple Continental style, but bran and yoghurt were offered, thankfully, and bagels of many sorts, which could be toasted easily. This service is perhaps the best feature of the motel. (4) We also like the large parking lot, easy to navigate, and (5) the proximity to a gas station and, if the reader is interested, Walmart. (6) Nice pillows on the bed, just right. One thin duvet and a bedspread, perhaps enough for most sleepers. (7) The front desk gal was helpful and tried her best, albeit unsuccessfully, to get us a room away from the motorway. She calmly navigated a fire alarm in progress and a visit from a fire truck during our check in. All was well! First, the beds are clean and well made up, but if you prefer a firmer mattress for your back, these won't cut it, as they are medium to soft. I did have a minor backache in the morning. ** Second, the bathroom tub did not drain well, creating a soapy mass that was slippery. Minor repairs were needed to both the non-working sink stopper and a piece of loose hardware circling a pipe in the shower. ** Three, metal chairs and little comfort all over:--there was a nice and new metal one at the desk, a nice addition, but not so comfortable; the chair was not adjustable for a smaller person/woman's height. This chair was the only one in the room. We used the plastic bathtub chair in the TV area for seating the second person. ** Four, a stale, old milk SMELL in the room, which the air conditioner did not banish at any time during our stay. The hallway near the laundry had this smell when passing, and it was close by. ** Five, the most serious annoyance for us was the roar of the air conditioner, whose "low" speed was noisy enough to stop most serious mentation and the achievement of a calm after a long day of driving. The TV ads could not even compete! We used AUTO, and LOW, and even NIGHT settings--do try these--but the volume was still bothersome, and the unit is a sinkhole of cost to run. Thus, we suggest that some adjustments be made to the unit, if possible (Reception said not possible). ** Six: There was a small fridge; no microwave, no coffee maker. But, there was good coffee in the lobby. ** Seven: The internet settings provided to us did not work at all. We actually needed to use the LOBBY line, and a special password, NOT surname and room number. Logging on the next day was less than automatic. ** Eight: lastly, our booking.com reservation correspondence with the hotel to ask for a quiet room did not yield an answer from the Front Desk, unlike our previous hotel in Sheridan, the Ramada Inn.
