The rooms smell bad

Upon arrival, we waited around 20-30 minutes for housekeeping staff to find the front counter attendant so we could check into our room. After arrival and getting checked in, every time we would leave our keys would get deactivated not allowing us back into our room. I understand maybe once or twice but this was every single time we were leaving. When approaching staff to see what the issue was we were met with “well no matter what, whether it’s in it’s own sleeve or not they will deactivate because you drive a remote start vehicle.” In any hotel we have stayed at we have never had an issue of keeping key cards separate from any phone, or other cards so to be treated and talked too as kids and told we are at fault because your system wasn’t working properly was very disappointing. Unfortunately will not be staying again in this location.

Conveniently located Room not especially clean.

Some of my family have celiac disease. It’s nice that there is a free breakfast but there are not many things they can safely eat There was only one large towel in the bathroom and the hot tub had hair in it

We are a family that travels... that place isn't too bad, but the person at the front was awful; personally, his appearance scared me. The service was terrible, and I felt unsafe there with that employee... I don't recommend it if you're traveling with children.

The queen suite was plenty spacious for my family. Breakfast was a little lackluster and cold

The breakfast was so good We asked for our trash to be taken out of our room three times and stayed there almost a week and it was never done. We asked for more coffee too and that was never done. The staff even said they would do it and NEVER did. We had so much trash when we left. I definitely won't be staying here again. That was just ridiculous. I don't even know why they never came and got our trash.

When arriving to my room, the bathroom was dirty, not enough towels, container and body wash were not filled, the room was dirty and there were jo extra sheets for the couch, I had to ask for them. The pool area seemed under construction and water not clean. The hot tub was not working. I would not come back to this place anymore.

Comfortable bed and clean room! Breakfast was very good with lots of options.

The staff said they had sausage, eggs, and potatoes. They did but they were not good. The breakfast area was huge but the breakfast quality was poor. This hotel looks like they had recently updated the lobby the rest of the place hasn't been uodated in 40 years. They need to update the rooms, pool, and hallway.

Beds were clean. Shower was hot. Breakfast was warm and not hot, they ran out of coffee and waffle batter by 7:15 when breakfast goes til 9. No one was around to ask about refills
-
Hot tub had a dead cockroach in it and was broken. Bathtub was clogged and filled with water when each person showered. Clear and visible stains on carpet. No shampoo or restocked Kleenex. Breakfast had cereal but no milk. Two yogurts and no more. No eggs, just potatoes. We were at breakfast at 7:00 on a weekday. No forks and none to stock when asked. Stale bread and bagels.

Room cleanliness was ok. Breakfast was ok, not the best.

The bed was extremely comfortable. I slept 9 hours straight and I haven’t done that in years

Once in our room, we found multiple cleanliness and maintenance issues. The bathtub was clogged and would not drain during a shower. An empty, broken shampoo bottle had been left on the bathroom counter, and the bathroom floor was dirty with visible hair. The overall condition of the room gave the impression that it had not been thoroughly cleaned. Both toilet paper rolls were nearly empty, there were no linens provided for the pullout couch, and we had to request bedding and additional towels from the front desk. There were also stains on the flooring throughout the room. We were disappointed to learn that the hot tub was under construction and unavailable during our stay, as this was one of the amenities that influenced our booking decision. The staff members we interacted with were friendly; however, the front desk area appeared unprofessional. There was an individual spending time behind the check-in counter who did not appear to be assisting guests, which did not leave a positive first impression. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance issues, and unavailable amenities made this a frustrating stay. We hope management addresses these concerns and improves the guest experience.

Air conditioner did not cool the room. Would not stay here again

This is one of the most well maintained hotels always stopped on our trip from Washington state to South Carolina

The staff was very security, courteous and friendly. The rooms were ok. The breakfast was minimal. You get what you pay for here.

Hot tub was half full and had hundreds of bugs in it, spiders, beetles, flies, etc. they said it was down, it smelled awful and made the whole pool room stink. The pool was also ice cold. A door labeled “restricted access” was propped open with no one around the whole time. A ceiling fan in the pool area was covered in crud and dirt…looked nasty. Many lights out or flickering in pool area and throughout the entire property, including one large light flickering like crazy in a stairwell. Our tv was “locked” with a parental lock on every channel, it wanted a 4 digit code, staff said they had never seen that before and said they didnt know what to do, so they did nothing, we just had no tv throughout our stay. The upstairs hallway smelled extremely bad, not sure what that smell was but I never want to smell it again. The breakfast had decent selection, but all the food was very bland and had no flavor. The staff was okay, but not helpful and didnt seem to care about how bad of shape the hotel was in. Our room was fairy clean I guess so that was one positive. I stayed here a 5-6 years ago and it was a nice hotel, now this place seems very very run down. Id be surprised if it doesnt shut down soon its so bad.

Hotels.com had good ratings and pictures / property was photoshopped or old pictures/ first elevator was out of service/my wife can't do stairs and at our age carry luggage upstairs/they put us on the second floor and had to remind them adjoining rooms/ door keys didn't work and one room had the door kicked in/ didn't check the room AC as we immediately cancelled and went down the street to another Choice Hotel ///much better As a side note I don't accept Choice Hotels can't do a better job of screening their franchise. They were helpful upon contact
