Super 8 by Wyndham Sioux Falls/41st Street

Pros: Staff Price Breakfast Close to Maine Hwy. Shopping malls and restaurants. Cons: Room could have more lights.

One wish, there was no sheer curtains on the first floor windows. So it was wide open with the room being totally exposed or it was pitch black. I really can’t expect anybody to not overly enjoy their stay…

Have stayed at this hotel several times and have never encountered any issues. Breakfast and coffee bar always on time. Dinner area clean and spacious.

The room wasn’t that clean but the breakfast was good.

Good for a quick stop if just needing sleep . Its kinda out dated and not the cleanest but if ya need sleep it will do

The staff was very friendly and the amenities were what was needed for a 1 night stay before flying out. The thing that got me was the comment the staff person said. He said they need my credit card to hold a $50 deposit. I think that's normal, but he said something about me losing it if I smoked in the room. I don't smoke, so that's an easy one. I went into my room and immediately smelled cigarette smoke. What was worse was the smoke detector on the wall was wrapped in white duct tape. The bathroom was musty and stained. The toilet wasn't cleaned. I know Super 8 isn't all the bells and whistles, but I expected more than that.

The staff when we arrived at midnight was wonderful. The hotel parking lot was sketchy, and looked like girls might have been working the parking lot. The hotel has not been updated since 1970, and was touched up for guest not cleaned.

The staff were pleasant and helpful. None of the staff spoke good English, so there was some slight communication problems. Right after we checked in, we noticed the TV remote was missing from our room, and the receptionist came to our room to help look for it, and then she sent another staff with a new remote for us. Also, the key-slide to open the outside door of the motel was broken and falling off the building. We reported it and it was fixed within hours. There was a locking safe in the room - we didn't use it, but it was nice to have. None of the furniture matched and the drawer in the dresser was broken. Right across the parking lot was a Fryn' Pan Restaurant. We walked there for 2 meals - food was really good. Our room was small, but clean. Sadly, there was no coffee maker. But there was a tasty free breakfast and coffee in the lobby. This is not a luxury hotel, but it's clean and tidy with OK amenities. We got into town a couple hours earlier than planned. We were not allowed to check in early unless we paid $20 extra. We decided to wait the two hours..........

The room was very humid and the carpet felt like it had just been cleaned. The room was dark, but it was clean and the beds comfortable.

The a/c in the room was terribly loud and would wake us up in the middle of the night. The entire hotel was humid. The safe in our room didnt work. The breakfast was good both days, nice to have hot options.

Clean room. Convenient location. Was a perfect pit stop on a long road trip.
