Pool Kinda run down

Staff was helpful in letting us check in very late at 1:30am. Decent simple breakfast available in the morning.

Dirty. Toilet did not wok

Housekeeping went above and beyond to help guests. Lack of communication. No staff. The rooms were old and smelled bad. Room assignment was chaos.

Didn't stay there they said no rooms.

Check in was at 3pm when I arrived was told it was going to be an hour to 2 before a room was cleaned. The pool has been shut down so no amenities provided. Asked to cancel reservation as was room was not ready and no pool. Also hallways dirty and staff was not helpful at all. Did not stay

Great central location, good value for the price. Room wasn't ready yet even after 4 pm on arrival day, but they hurried.

Just as advertised that once was the most famous hotel to stay at bad in the day. Still great though clean rooms over all I would recommend anyone

Room was clean, kids and people making all kinds of noise in hallway, couldn’t get to sleep

The pool wasn't operational. One room wasn't ready- even 1 1/2 hrs after check in time. There were holes in the wall where they have fixed plumbing issues but haven't fixed the drywall. Rooms were dimly lit. Many people seemed to be living here, not just staying.

Absolutely nothing. Everything was horrible after paying for the room and charging me $100 fee incase of damages, I went to the room they gave me and it looked like someone has been living in it for months. Then after returning to the front desk the only employee there was a maintenance guy he stated they had no other rooms open that wasn't dirty also. But he could give me new sheets if I was okay sleeping in a dirty room.

Call and make sure the pool and hot tub work first!!!!

Raynelle (sp) at the front desk is wonderful. She was extremely helpful, very friendly & funny. She made us feel welcome & comfortable immediately while we were checking in. The beds are INCREDIBLE!!! I really expected a mediocre bed & unrestful sleep with it being a hotel and being an affordable room. The bed was like sleeping on a CLOUD!! I slept better on the Dakota bed than I do in my own bed at home! PHENOMENAL!!! Check out was 11am but I needed a little extra time to get ready for our event. When I called the front desk to ask, the lady was completely understanding & considerate. She said it was no problem & gave me until 12pm. That was very kind & a life saver for me to finish my event preparations. I will DEFINITELY stay there again if I'm ever in Sioux Falls, SD in the future!! The Wi-fi never worked at all the whole time we were there. We were told that all the guests were complaining that the internet didn't work and that the Dakota needed to get a Wi-fi extender, but that wasn't done. Therefore, it didn't help us have Wi-fi while there either. That was an issue & inconvenience as I needed to do work remotely during my stay & wasn't able to. The hot tub thermostat was broken so it wasn't working. That was really disappointing as we'd driven 10 1/2 hours & my back was killing me. But it wasn't a deal breaker, just an inconvenience & a bummer.

The waterslide We had been at this hotel before, and my kids like the pool and waterslide. We decided we would try this hotel again since they liked it. Boy was this time a shit stay and huge disappointment. We were supposed to check in at 3pm, and our rooms still were not ready at 430pm. I understand that people call in sick, but it was kind of ridiculous to have 3pm as a check in time and then have nothing at all available. We booked 2 rooms for our family of 6. One of the rooms had a plugged sink with soap scum and rust floating on it. We told the front desk and were moved to a second room, and that room smelled musty and had clumps of dust on the bathroom vent. And that night the extra security door lock fell off! In the other room, when my daughter was showering, the water kept getting hotter and hotter. She could not get the hot water knob to turn off and scalded my daughter before she got thought to get out of the shower (she’s young and was scared). We wanted to swim a little bit before checking out but somehow they “lost” the key to the pool that morning and couldn’t, or wouldn’t, open the pool. The pool and waterslide were the only reason we came to the hotel, and they lost the freaking key. So annoyed and frustrated. This was supposed to be for a birthday party but was a huge disappointment. The pool water was unreasonably cold, and hot tub was out of order.

They told me that I had to switch rooms after the first night cause housekeeping hadn't even cleaned it up yet... and I had to hold down the toilet flushes for 10sec just to go down & after that it leaked on the floor... housekeeping never changed my sheets all week
