Doubletree Hotel South Bend

I booked this for my in-laws during their visit for a ND football game. They loved the hotel & raved about the driver service. Great experience & stay.

The bedsheet has red and black spots, and the blanket is extremely dirty. It looks like neither has been washed properly for a long time.

Loved the views. We do wish the windows were clean so that we could see better. The location was fantastic. Everyone that we interacted with was very nice. I would say the only things that could have been better were the housekeeping of the room on our second day. The toilet paper and tissues were not refilled and the floor wasn’t swept. We didn’t have a full replenishment of towels. The only thing that was replaced was the coffee, which wasn’t even provided when we first entered the room. The only thing available was decaf and not caffeinated. Finally, we also would have really loved our corner room if the windows were clean on the outside. We paid more for this room to be able to enjoy the view but the fact that it was dirty made it difficult to fully enjoy the view.

Dirty floors and our bathroom door latch was broken- nearly trapped in bathroom

Waited at check in as room wasn't ready even though we arrived after 4p.. when we finally got into the room, the bathroom wasn't clean. Scum around bathtub. Faucet, and dirt in the toilet. Floors were.also sticky.

I loved the indoor area, I think the space could be utilized a bit better. More options if restaurants and the air conditioning was not on so it made the building very hot. It was 80/90 degrees and it was never any air on. I also felt like I was going to faint when I went to workout.

Nice comfy room and beds. Great food and selections, good parking and close.

Helpful staff. Hotel room keycard continues to not work at the parking garage which created a minor disruption but was corrected promptly.

The room was nice but it was dusty and the shower was leaking all over the floor. Both pool restrooms were nasty. The toilets were clogged. The pool was cold and there were no towels. This hotel was not worth the price point. The only thing good about the hotel is the location.

I specifically wanted the use of a hot tub which they claimes to have. The hot tub was filled in with fake grass on top. If it wasn't Expedia booked, I'd ask for my money back. Expedia has too much red tape making it very difficult to get a refund.

A/C in common areas was awful. Rooms thankfully cool. Parking stinks: garage too low and oversized parking severely limited. Most staff friendly and helpful. Bar, Starbucks and restaurant nice to have within the hotel.

The proximity to the campus and the local businesses Parking issues weren’t the greatest but worked out

We arrived very late, 2am and got late check out so didn't use many amenities. Property was lovely, staff helpful. Cleaning crew was VERY LOUD in the morning doing other rooms. Since we had late checkout & privacy tag on tour, that was bothersome.
