Embassy Suites by Hilton South Bend at Notre Dame

If you’re used to the typical embassy suites experiences with the tall building and foyer in the middle, this isn’t it. It was a beautiful room in a beautiful location however downstairs smells as if they were having a sewage issue. I hope that was temporary during my stay because it was very unpleasant. Breakfast was good but unlike typical embassy suites, staff serves you portions of bacon, sausage, etc which was different. We loved the room and living room combo and the actual hotel is located in what I’d call the nicer part of South Bend (as a native of the city back visiting family-this is nice). Parking is nearby, cheap, and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Bartender was helpful and friendly as well as the check in and out service. Housekeeping went out of their way to be helpful as well.

Clean Staff at checking was rude and condescending, not friendly in the slightest. I would have said something at the time but after travelling for so long I just wanted to rest. As a consequence I’ve told all colleagues who will be travelling staying in this area for the next 2-3 years due a project nearby being undertaken, not to stay here.

Disappointing

Great location. Loved breakfast. Only way to improve would be to have coffee available all day.

We book this hotel again and again when visiting Notre Dame.

The hotel was very nice and in a great location relative to Notre Dame. They had a great happy hour with snacks which was as nice. Really my only complaint is that there were no drawers to unpack into. So we had piles of clothes in chairs which is less than convenient

Large, quiet, clean room. TV worked great, Wi-Fi did not. Thankfully bad Wi-Fi was the only issue but it did damper my attempt at getting work done during the time I was there.
