The Inn at Saint Mary's

I loved the proximity to all three campuses, Notre Dame, St. Mary's and Holy Cross. I was also surprised by how well equipped the gym was. The Inn at St. Mary's will definitely be my go-to lodging in the future.

Entire lobby is torn up. Undergoing major construction. Hotel should have made this clear when booking. Staff was very polite and professional on the plus side. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was par for the course.

Perfect room! Super clean! Staff was excellent. They were remodeling the lobby and you would think there would be some bit of dust. None. Not even in the hallways along the ledge (I checked). Definitely stay again

Staff were super friendly. The rooms were clean, nice showers with strong water pressure. When we booked there was no mention of the hotel being under renovation. Had I known I would not have booked here. It was loud and dusty - they were literally jack hammering the stone floor while I was checking out. Barely stopped for me to walk from elevator to the checkout desk and didn’t wait for me to check out before starting again. I’m sure it will look great when done but I wish I wasn’t staying here while it was going on.

The room was in excellent conditions, the staff was nice and polite. Parking was easy. Only complain is related to construction works. Good location and good restaurant near by.

The Inn at Saint Mary’s is currently undergoing remodeling. As a result, the stay was chaotic, dusty and noisy. Information regarding the construction wasn’t clear in the website, and we arrived unaware that it was happening. The morning we checked out, staff had to ask a worker to stop using a jackhammer that was being used to break up the tile in front of the temporary check in desk. We then had to navigate the bits and pieces. Even with plastic barriers, there was dust everywhere. It was disappointing since we had selected the Inn because we wanted a place with some history.

This hotel is undergoing major renovations. You must maneuver your way through construction in order to reach just the check-in desk, let alone the elevators to go up to your room. Once the elevators open to go to your room, there are items stacked in hallways when you exit the elevator. I was very disappointed since the picture showed a lobby bar and other amenities I looked forward to using. However none are available. The front desk staff was very friendly and are doing the best they can, but it should be made very clear that this hotel is under again, major renovation

So they are undergoing major renovations and still pulled off a terrific stay. Construction really is the only reason for not receiving a perfect score. I will gladly stay there again. And highly recommend if you’re there for a college function.

First, there were several mornings I was awoken first thing due to construction including a jackhammer being used out my door at 7am one morning. Second there were several nights that construction was happening until 10 or later at night. Again, this wasn't just light work, but loud an obtrusive noise. The one night metal was being dragged across the road causing plenty of scrapping noises. The other night, they were using a pounding stick to flatten out bricks for a patio/walking path. I eventually called at 10pm and complained to the front desk who said they would get them to stop. I called again at 10:30 only to be left with constant ringing for 5 minutes, and it finally stopped at 10:45 when they left for the day. Others in my party also called and were brushed off as well. If the construction hadn't been going beyond normal working hours, my stay would have been perfectly fine. But the fact that they worked so late, made so much noise, and staff didn't seem to care or have ability to stop it for the guests sake was very aggrivating.

I would return here again. Despite ongoing construction, the place was very clean and easy to navigate. The room was tidy and well-stocked, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good too, offering a variety of options.

Receptionist at check in we arrived later in the day - had no idea there was remodeling at the hotel. -receptionist was fantastic!! She was upbeat -pleasant- welcoming

Amazing stay,Even while the hotel is being updated it is very clean. Staff is great. Breakfast is awesome. Great parking easy access to South Bend.

It was a bit disheartening to arrive and have the hotel lobby and other areas under construction. No word of the massiveness of it on your website… was so looking forward to seeing the lobby area as featured by photo on your website and a bit disappointing when we arrived…no restaurant..no bar…and nothing stating this on your website. Besides arriving and realizing this, the associate who checked us in was not overly friendly… plus suggested that we could”go next door” for something to eat if we chose..plus she was not quite as welcoming as I would say we have experienced at other hotels… she was a little disgusted with me when I saw that she was assigning us a ground floor room and I asked for a higher floor…the reception got a little “chilly”!! Also in regards to housekeeping… the room was awesome, but ask your housekeepers to please make sure there are no hairs from prior guests on the walls of the shower or laying on the sink… a little gross when you have to remove other peoples hair before you can lay your belongings down or step in the shower. Thank you for your hospitality!!
