The Inn at Saint Mary's

Really nice gym here. Has more of a resort feel than a typical transactional type hotel.

Everything here was great. The staff was very helpful. The shuttle service was a huge plus. The rooms are very nicely done and clean.

St.Mary’s was undergoing significant renovation making the lobby unusable.

Property is in the midst of a large renovation. As a result, a little chaotic and dusty. However, with that said staff was super helpful and friendly. Nice location, reasonable and will be beautiful once rents are complete!

Renovations happen but when the entire lobby/common area is off limits with no communication from the hotel it is extremely disappointing. There was loud construction work during the day. The lower level was completely tarped off with plastic sheeting so that you are walking through tunnels to get to/from the back entrance/reception desk/single in-use elevator. I’m sure it will be lovely when they are finished but I would avoid this hotel for summer 2026 stays.

Hotel was undergoing renovation during my stay. So I can't say much about the amenities as they were out of service or temporarily set up in a makeshift setting. "Bar" was a folding table in the lobby area. Parking was a mess. If it weren't for the renovation, it would have been a great place to stay. Staff was super friendly and room was clean and comfortable.

The Inn at St. Mary's is a delightful, boutique style hotel at an affordable price. It's super convenient to the interstate and all college campuses in South Bend. The guest rooms are all updated. Yes, there are a few areas that are still under construction, but that doesn't impact guest room experiences. Beds are comfy. The couch and chair in our room were also super comfortable and well maintained. We'd stay here again anytime.

Room was clean and bed was comfy. Stayed two nights. Staff was very friendly and most helpful with shuttle service. Breakfast was good. When I made the reservation on-line no mention was made that the lobby and other parts of the hotel was undergoing a renovation. It did not affect my stay but it would have been nice to know beforehand that there was a renovation underway.

Great stay! Good central location that is close to a lot of the things in South Bend. The breakfast was simple and good. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I liked my room, that had plenty of space.

Hotel is currently under renovation so it was not an ordinary stay. But given all the construction, the room was great, breakfast was great, and the staff was outstanding.

I like this hotel and have stayed there many times but it is in the middle of renovation so I can’t rate it any better than good. The breakfast is super. The room is fine except the bathroom floor tiles in every room I have stayed in are loose. I hope they have plans to renovate the bathrooms.

I will be back the next time I am in South Bend. Excited to see how the final renovations look when completed.

The staff, renovated room and breakfast were all very good. The hotel is still in the middle of major renovations in the lobby so it isn’t usable. Just good to know, but I’d still stay there.
