Super 8 by Wyndham Spirit Lake/Okoboji

Breakfast was out of stock of all eggs and sausage 2 days we were there. Super long wait to find staff because the sign is always up at the front desk saying they are away doesn't seem to be someone who sits at the desk they seem to be busy doing other chores - I don't think the staff was Lazy just being multi tasked too much. When they did finally get to the desk they were very helpful.

I think the filters need cleaned.

Clean room and comfortable beds

Room was clean the tv was terrible buffered all night finally turned it off and watched it on my phone

Only real complaint is understaffed. Always always always had to call on the phone for front desk help. Never an attendant readily available

Musty in room.

That clean I would not that clean. I would not stay again.

I would not recommend this hotel. The pictures must be old. The rooms are not that clean at all. There were marks/streaks on the walls in the room and bathroom, mold in the shower and on the ceiling in the bathroom. The room was not clean. The beds were not comfortable at all and none of us slept well. The worst part was the smell. The room smelled like moisture and mildew. We will never stay here again. For the price of this room I would have expected a lot better. I stayed at places that were maybe $20 more a night and they were much better! The man at the front desk was nice.

Had a nice visit in the morning with a woman who was working in the dining area/kitchen. The room smelled like smoke when we walked into it. The bed was as hard as a rock.

When we arrive, the room was ready for us, and the staff came out and greened us very nice when we got to our room room the room smelt musty, and we noticed that in the bathroom there was black mold in the shower. Also, the baseboards were dirty in the bathroom.

The only real complaint that I have is that the room felt clammy even with the AC on. Other than that, everything was perfectly fine. Yeah there was a few spots in the shower, but nothing that concern me.

Good food but warmers should be on low rather than on warm setting to provide a warmer meal. Otherwise, plenty of great choices in a clean nice and clean environment KUDOS all good

I am highly allergic to mold. The desk attendant moved me to a room upstairs and it didnt smell damp and gross like the 1st room that I had a hard time breathing in and my eyes puffed all up. For a shocker, there was a man running a make shift barber shop right outside my window on the bottom floor.He had a card table set up with his SUPPLIES on it. He was shaving mens hair. I opened my curtain and they waved. Couldnt open the other one bc they were right next to it. At one point the "barber" and his client were play fighting right in front of the window where my curtain was open. After at least 3 hours of this, I went to the desk to complain. The desk guy said he would go talk to them. He talked to them all right. They moved the set up down a few rooms outside from mine! I felt like he must have known about this since he didnt make them leave the property with the barber shop. I drove by this evening about 6:30 and the table was outside next to the building by the motel windows again. After they moved their barber shop down a few windows from mine last night, one of the men walked past my window several times. This was very creepy for me. Who can I report this to? Should not b happening.

Expensive but stayed over the weekend. Room was clean but very humid which made the carpet feel damp. Beds comfortable. Staff pleasant. Had biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs for breakfast which were very good.

We did not eat the breakfast so I can't answer this question. The location was great. It was close to the wedding venue that we were attending so we are happy about that. The air conditioner could have controlled the humidity in a better way.

bedsheets were not clean as expected

The only disappointment was the breakfast' although there was more hot breakfast items then I expected from such a low price room. The orange juice was mostly water, however the apple juice was good. The biscuits were not fresh and the sausage gravy appeared to be old. I would stay there again because the rooms were at a bargain price and not worry about the breakfast.
