Comfort Suites near Route 66

Very pleasant stay

It smelled of old cigarettes and mildew. At some time in the history of this room it had to be a smoking room and was never properly cleaned and sanitized to get rid of the smell. Being an asthmatic with allergies this did not bode well for my breathing. We even went to the extreme of going to Wal Mart, purchasing clip on car air fresheners and lining the ac unit vents with them. This still did not take away the smell. This was the weekend of the International Rt 66 100 year celebration and there were no other king size suites available. The bed was so hard I actually slept more comfortably on the sofa in the room. However, I was constantly feeling like I was getting bit by bugs. The free breakfast bar was severely understaffed and could not keep Up with the volume of hotel guests that were staying there. Items were empty and the serving area was extremely messy.

The place seems to be on the older side. It took a bit of encouragement to get our toilet refilling but it was easy to fix and eventually stayed fix. There was a thermostat but we took that as a suggestion and my wife played directly with the AC controls as needed. We encountered one small bug on the night stand but only that one. My wife got to use the fitness area for late treadmilling and some weights. As far as noise, this is one of the quieter places we've stayed at. We'd strongly consider returning if we ever visit our son who lives in the area again.

Nice hotel, no issues on our weekend stay. Quiet, rooms where clean. Breakfast was ok.

Staff was great. They were dealing with new locks on the doors that didn't always work, but we were able to be moved to rooms that worked. Thank you

We stayed on the second night of a 7 day road trip . I would rank as 4th best. It was fine just struck us as a bit worn. also had a pool smell in the lobby but room was fine

One night stay in great room. AC was on and room cool when we checked in - big plus given the hot temp outside! Loved the walk in shower. Everything very clean. The site was undergoing some maintenance/reno work but not intrusive during our stay. One note - there was faint smell of what I thought was cigarette smoke but my partner did not notice it. Would definitely return here and will recommend to friends and family.

Staff was great

Our room was comfortable and clean, meeting well our needs for an overnight stop on a road trip. The shower was quite nice, better than many hotels. Breakfast was standard for this type of hotel, including some hot items (eggs) as well as baked goods and cereal.
