Holiday Inn Express Springfield by IHG

Room was nice, breakfast was very good.

We booked a King and pull-out couch room. The pull-out couch sheets were not in the room so I called to obtain them. Front desk said they needed to be ordered and that they would be delivered to the room. 2 hr go by no sheets…I call and he says we didn’t forget about you. I told him we were going to bed in 15-30min if we could please have them by then. 1hr goes by….no sheets, called front desk 3x and they selected to not answer the phone. I walk my pregnant exhausted self downstairs about in tears to request the sheets yet again for my kids pull out couch. He said they got sent to the wrong room and there were yet 2 more room requests to fill before mine that I had waited 3hrs for! I told him I was very frustrated so he offered me a snack. I only wanted bed sheets and sleep! 10min later they finally came. The hotel also promoted an indoor pool but you would have to walk to the neighboring hotel to the 2nd floor to get a key then up to the 14th floor to swim. Not ideal with little kids. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The property was fine. The cleaning staff is good, but the rooms need a deep cleaning. Breakfast was great.

Nothing Everything

Really nice hotel, pet friendly, and we only spent one night, but the room we stayed in had a bathroom with mold around the tub, rusted out towel bar (could not use), and the bottom of the sink/counter was rusted out. Now they had nice beds, carpeting looked nice, and they had a mini fridge, coffee maker, desk, and great breakfast! Staff was helpful as well! Perhaps they are renovating but my only complaint would be the not so nice bathroom.

We ended up changing rooms since the first room had broken tiles and the caulking around the bathtub was cracked and missing in places but the main problem was the carpet was soaking wet by the bed. Not what I expected from Holiday Inn.

It was a very nice and clean hotel and the beds were comfortable. The only complaints are that the pool is not in the same hotel and the parking lot doesn’t have walkways cutout to get the luggage carts through the parking lot easily. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful and friendly! We’d stay here again.

The breakfast had issues. The bacon was chewed. I was going to have a bowl of cereal. Got a carton that still had 4 days till expiration and when I poured it on the cereal it was curdled. Needless to say I threw it out. Breakfast

The rooms were very clean.

This location was better than I expected. Staff was friendly and assisted with all questions about things to see in the area. Room was clean and ready earlier than i was anticipating to arrive. Fitness Center was accessible 24 hours. Everything was great.

It was conveniently located. My stay was seamless and comfortable. The tub did not drain well.

The beds felt like I was sleeping on a box spring very hard and uncomfortable I had back pain all weekend long the carpet was dirty it was only 1 working elevator . This hotel needs updating.. it wasn’t not worth the money I spent. 👎

The bed and the room were very comfortable. I was under the impression that the hotel had a pool when I booked the stay. I didn’t not expect to have to go to the Crowne Plaza and go to the top floor to get to their pool. I was disappointed with that. Had I known that I would’ve booked the Crown Plaza
