It just needs a good makeover because the floors and furniture are out of date and losing their freshness. Our room had wet carpet and we had to travel to a sister hotel to have time in an indoor pool like we had planned. The staff was extremely friendly and pleasant but they didn’t have the best to work with.
-
the TV was so small not what they normally have and bad signal. The staff was nice but was working with a not so happy customer at time of check-in so we weren't told byt had to figure out things ourself

Kind and Helpful Staff!

I was really only there for a few hours. We arrived late and checked out before 11:00, so I could t really enjoy all you had to offer. Everything was clean, and that is most important to me. Check in was easy.
-
Very clean and easy to check in and stay. The room only had decaf coffee keurigs and we were in a hurry so we didn’t notice until too late to ask for more. Otherwise we were only there for less that 11 hrs to sleep.

The hotel is showing some wear, but overall a good stay. Fitness room a little small, but useable.

Hot tub

Clean, soft bed in a nicely cool room (90+ degrees outside). Staff seemed to struggle a bit. The morning breakfast host seemed to be missing out very late.

It was a stopover on a longer trip but it is conveniently located, has friendly and helpful staff and clean
-
Good Parking. Must pay for individual items at breakfast.

Unfortunately, the phones were out of order. So had to go to the front desk and inform the staff our fire alarm was beeping due to low battery. However, they were quick to resolve and handle any other requests we had.

We’ve never traveled with our pups. We were nervous about what kind of room we’d be in. It was extremely clean and smell free. The dogs loved all the space after being in a car all day. Breakfast isn’t free but looked wonderful and worth the $$$. We had food that we ate. Complimentary coffee in the am was available. Whole complex was extremely clean. Even saw someone using a lint roller on the carpet. Attention to detail. The mirror in our room had some humidity issues but who cares. The beds were all we cared about. Would stay here again.

The hotel was clean, quiet, and staff was courteous. Tub had a bit or rust around the drain, but wasn’t too bad. Coming in from a hot day, the room was cool… in fact it was frigid. Temp was set on 63°, so it took about an hourish to get it warmed up to comfortable temperature. Not a complaint… it was way better to have too cool than too hot! Enjoyable stay and would recommend.

Older AC unit couldn’t keep up with the high temps outside.
-
Common areas are more than 3 stars standard but the tub and furnishings are quite bad, particularly on the room that I stayed. Dryer doesn’t work and the tub was icky so couldn’t take a bath after a very tiring day!

I wouldn't recommend it. Tub had rust, the ridge was dirty and I accidentally pulled out the filter in the AC and it was horrible. We asked to change rooms. It was a little bit better. I wouldnt go back again.

One caveat--this hotel offers a beautiful, enticing breakfast buffet--better by far than most mid-range hotels--but it is not free. So this is not the place to grab a bite upon leaving, and expect it to be covered by your room price. We loved "coming home at night" to this lovely place and would stay here again, if ever in the area.

Restaurant on property. Room was not ready despite being checked in and informed it was ready. Bed was unmade, no toilet paper, and a bottle of water was partially consumed. Several other patrons experienced the same issues during my two night stay including a botched sign in for the Illinois Route 66 chapter banquet. Understaffed and overwhelmed.
