Holiday Inn Express Eugene - Springfield by IHG

Nice, clean hotel. Slept well, good breakfast. Overall what I expected for the price and from Holiday Inn. Would stay again.

To me what outstanding is the front desk staff

Aging property, very loud AC unit, no coffee in the room, just ok

Mini fridge and microwave in the room. Downside, no coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was decent with plenty of options and there are two single serve coffeemakers in the breakfast area available 24/7. I’ve stayed here plenty of times, and I keep returning to this hotel because it’s comfortable and at the end of the street. Plus there’s plenty of restaurants nearby.

Not able to run heating /cooling unit fan constantly. Will only cycle off and on which can affect sleep ( the unit is wired to a wall thermostat and removes that typical option)

All over it was a great stay. Breakfast was good with a lot of options, clean, fresh foods, good coffee. Staff at check in were just ok. They were having a social conversation every time we came by the desk during the stay.

I had higher expectations. Disappointing

The gentleman that does breakfast is awesome! Even under pressure he was great!! One of the days, Saturday July 4th, we were there his helper must’ve called in. It was extremely busy and he was super busy and definitely needed another person. However, he was still very pleasant and accommodating. He definitely deserves a bonus and employee of the year acknowledgment!!! We also liked that there was a place outside the pool area to lay in the sun. Key card problems.

Place was relatively clean and staff was very helpful. However, shower head and diverter / valve was not securely attached to shower walls. Otherwise, it was a good to stay at.
