Location fit our need for a room. Bed was ok. Sheets seemed clean. The entrance was not well lite. The hallway carpet was dingy. The room carpet had several stains. The pillows on the couch were torn. Bathroom tile was not clean...............grout was dirty.
-
This place should be condemned Cockroaches, wallpaper hanging off walls, closet doors not attached, lights broken, toilet didn't flush and the door wouldn't latch.
-
There was roaches in the bathroom

The best part was the wifi worked well. But the room smelled like an ashtray when I walked in. I told the front desk and asked for an air freshener and they brought me a spray bottle to use once and waited so they could take it back. I also saw a bug the last day there. Definitely not staying here again.

The lady behind the counter was very pleasant The entire place was dilapidated and extremely ran down. The room condition was very poor, lights sagging off the walls, furniture with heavy stains and holes, stains all over the carpet. The bathroom stunk and The shower curtain was heavily molded. The walls were covered in all sorts of stains and weird patches. The door to our room had a cap so big when it was shut you could still see through to the hallway.
-
There was a bug outside of the room. The hallways weren't clean. The police stopped pulled up to my vehicle saying there's been a break ins. The officers were cool, but still.

I didn’t like anything about the property. Unfortunately, our experience at this property was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the level of customer service and professionalism was not what we would expect from a hotel or hospitality establishment. The staff appeared unfriendly and unapproachable, and basic customer service was noticeably lacking. The attire and overall presentation of the staff also felt unprofessional. The cleanliness of the property was the biggest concern. The parking lot had an overflowing trash can and a large family gathering, with trash and debris throughout the area. Inside, the floors appeared extremely dirty and did not look as though they had been properly vacuumed or maintained. There were visible stains, including what appeared to be blood stains, on the carpet in the elevator. The hallways and our room also strongly smelled of cigarette smoke. Overall, the property gave the impression that cleanliness and maintenance were not a priority. The atmosphere felt less like a professionally operated hotel and more like we were staying in someone’s personal home. Because of the condition of the property, we did not feel comfortable staying there and chose to leave. Unfortunately, when we brought our concerns forward, the situation was not handled in a way that made us feel valued as customers. We were disappointed that the property was unwilling to simply provide a refund given that we were unable to stay due to the condition and cleanliness of the facility. I understand that issues can happen, but we expected a basic level of cleanliness, professionalism, and customer care. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet those expectations.

Terrible service on everything

The property is a fire and safety hazard. The back door to the building is propped open and I don't believe it locks. Carpets are stained, Furniture was ripped, soiled and torn. Bed spread had wholes, rips and stains on it. The screen to the window was ripped and the frame to the window had been pried bending it. Staff were unapologetic, uncaring and unwilling to assist in any manner. The elevator was not up to code, smelled like urine and marijuana. There was also a vicious dog behind one of the doors as we walked by, it was loud and disturbing. There was no way we would have stayed, cancelled the reservation immediately after inspection of the room. I would not recommend this property to my worst enemy.

Very poor

Carpets in room, hallways need a carpet cleaning. Outside entrance doors don’t close properly. Had several occurrences of bugs in bathroom. Smell of cigarette smoke in the room. Went to see about changing rooms and was sent to a different room that was not cleaned yet and had all types of trash still in room. Trash in public areas needed to be cleaned. Elevator needs a good cleaning as well.

Front desk staff was very helpful & outstanding when there was a mix up. The breakfast was alright for kids probably but certainly not diabetic friendly. Some doors didn’t work, the building isn’t being maintained, kept in good shape and it’s just very dirty. The first room smelled of mildew, the second room didn’t. These are crucial issues. I didn’t feel safe here with my children outside the room at night -I’m an StL native who’s lived in the city and can handle things myself but I shouldn’t have to in Westport plaza. The breakfast would be better with protein options -even just hard boiled eggs would be nice. However, I also realize if they can’t keep the building in shape, asking for anything else seems less pressing.

Wall paper in bathroom pealing off the wall cockroaches in room. Hallway carpet very dirty, looked like a scene from the shining. Only 3 pillows for a king size bed no blanket. When asked front desk for air freshener and extra pillows they didn't have any!
