Reviews
-
It was very nice old fashioned place to stay.
-
We stayed here as we were passing through on our way to visit our brother at basic training graduation in fort Leonard wood. Staff treated us like regulars and the amenities were beautiful. Our room was cozy and comfortable with a lot of charm.
-
Nice location, the bar was great. Such a beautiful hotel, with cheap, secure, covered parking. Right downtown.
-
Older building in the downtown (could use a little updating, some street noise), but the AC worked well for us. Nice and close to the Gateway Arch. Cheapest stay close to the Arch. Paying for parking is annoying, but every place in downtown St. Louis charged for parking. Good stay for the money.
-
Old fashioned, not cozy. Amazingly, they have a "no hat" policy. Men (and men only) are not allowed to wear hats or caps inside the premises.
-
This place is a blast from the past, a glimpse of a different world. The room itself was comfortable and the price was decent for walking distance to Busch Stadium on a game night.
-
Everything was great. Very friendly staff.
-
Great place, great location
-
Location Rooms a little small
-
Very clean Rooms are outdated to even plug in phone chargers. AC didn’t work in one of the two rooms we booked.
-
Gheri always greets me with a friendly hello and smile

Be prepared for the dress code standard at this property, collared shirts required at the bar and restaurant no hats in the lobby. you must be well-dressed to lounge in the lobby although it is permissible to traverse the the lobby in street clothes provided you don't work there the rooms are made available to guest but are owned by the Missouri athletic club and it has Country club type rules it's an excellent place to stay but be prepared for this before booking.

Also, the room seem to be quite dated, I didn’t like the huge step up to the bathroom
-
Very close to highway and it can be noisy at night time
-
Having an incredible gym in the middle of the hotel is awesome. The lobby is magnificent as well. I will 100% stay here again.
-
Very close to the America's Center Convention Complex and the Gateway Arch
-
Beautiful hotel and staff was great. Very high noise level, both in side and from outside. When we arrived our room didn’t have body wash. This was quickly resolved by staff,
-
Beautiful property, love the style and decor.
-
The hotel was beautiful. I can not stress that enough. However, when we went to bed, we did not sleep well. The A/C kicked off in the middle of the night, the matress was not that comfortable, and the street traffic was loud. Other than that it is a beautiful place to stay and the staff is amazing

Nice classy environment. Geri is always friendly and welcoming. Security is friendly as well. Bed was comfortable. I also appreciated the napkins and utensils by the community microwave. See you all next week. I wish there was a fridge in the rooms, but just a suggestion. Doesn't change how I rate the hotel.
