Rooms are in disrepair. We were given a room with a leaking tub faucet that kept me awake from the dripping/ tapping noise, the sink in little kitchen area leaked water under it, and bulbs burnt out in room. Staff was uncaring and rude. They were not surprised when told and didnt care to do anything either. On the 3rd day, we asked for our room to be cleaned and they came at 9pm when my son was already sleeping. We had to get clean towels from pool area to use inside our room to shower

    Great hotel.

Need more of a food selection at beach bar

I liked the place. It was clean, nice, with plenty of activities and a good atmosphere. Staff was so nice and kind, I liked the access to the sea and to the sibling hotel (Grand Island), the variety of restaurants and things to do, the pools (I hadn't gotten in pools with such a great weather in a long time). I also liked the location and things around, as well as the fact that my stay at Rumfish included free use of the bus that goes to downtown St. Pete. Rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained, and brings an air of 90's, 00's style nostalgy, although mine had the small detail that part of the rug was broken (not that much tho).

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a wonderful beach bar, and the restaurants are delicious. However, the resort was very noisy between construction, and nonstop leaf blowing through the day, so it was not peaceful waking up there. Also, the pools are very, very small and filled with kids so it is not quite accommodating to couples traveling without kids. They do have an adult pool, but it was not close to our room. They also charge a $100 per day resort fee that I was not aware of until I checked in so be prepared for that too.

This property is nothing like the photos, total chaos with staff, room service only showed up once I. The 3 days we were there. I could go on and on. even though it says all taxes and fees included in my rate I ended up Paying another $360 in fees when checking out, will never stay here again.

All was good. Had some problems with getting h soap and extra towels but other then that it was a great trip

Rum Fish Resort underperformed in a number of metrics. We expected 5 star service and accommodation for the high cost per room. It was at best a 3 star. Way overpriced and understaffed. The room was comparable to that which you would find in a motel like Red Roof. And the staff that served us had condescending attitudes. I will never stay there again!

Great spot in central beach area

The staff did their best to fix any issue. Cleaning services was their weakest link. Asked for extra sheets and blanket everyday. Never received an extra set. They did not clean our room unless we had to complain about it. Had to take extra beach towel to shower.

When we booked it through Expedia, we paid “hotel fee” and stated taxes and fees included. They also ran out of chocolate and crackers for s’mores which they advertised as a daily treat as an amenity. We only enjoyed it one day and the other 4 days they only had marshmallows alone. Everything else was fine. The hotel was clean and they had a good amount of activities for families. The staff was extremely kind. It was not over populated which is great for families that want serenity.

We had a late check in due to flight delays. Upon arriving staff was nowhere to be found, had to flag down a receptionist who was in her office. She was rude and not welcoming at all. Checked into our room and we were immediately struck with the smell of mold, I know it’s Florida and moisture is obviously common but this was awful. Air vents were covered, filters look like they had not been changed in years, wood in the closet was warped and soft, bathroom was gross. We reserved a two queen bed villa, the beds were clearly doubles. In the morning I immediately went to the front desk to discuss options. Chris was helpful however had a very irritated demeanor. Bell hop showed another room option for an additional cost. The room was much cleaner and had very little musty smell. Night two there was no graham cracker or chocolate for smores and the hot water went out. The hotel told us 45 minutes to get the water fixed. Over a day went by with no hot water. Many maintenance calls and a front desk visit later they disclosed it was going to be another night. They offered to move us however it was 10 pm and we had three children under 7. I could go on more but I’m running out of characters. Explore other hotels!!!

My family and I tried this resort for our first time! We couldn’t have been happier and will definitely be back soon!!

There are multiple pools, so I feel like you can pick where you feel most comfortable at as they seem to have different settings, like fun party or quiet and laid back. There is a great offer of restaurants by the trade wind. We did try the rumfish sports bar and the food was pretty good. Excellent customer service. We did order drinks from the bars by the pools. They were overpriced and those who got liquor said it was not strong. We enjoyed the paddle boats. The large slide out on the beach is included with the reservation.Which is fun for kids. Love How close the beach is to the building. The beach chairs are also free, which is nice. Overall I would go again. I would just check my bed and water pressure before it gets too late so we arent miserable at night again. We were 3 laying in one bed. I would also probably choose to bring a bottle of wine or make my own drinks. I would also recommend outside food
