Avalon Hotel Downtown St. Petersburg

Pleasantly surprised with the upgrade to a suite. The room was tastefully decorated. There was a stove, microwave oven and a coffee machine. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. Staff was very help full and made us fell welcomed. Air-condition was great. Free parking, but tight. There is no free breakfast but there are plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Great staff, beautiful decor in lobby. A free glass of wine every night was a great perk!

Great hotel in a brilliant location

This is a nicely refurbished old hotel. Our room and bathroom were small but reasonably well-appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. One suggestion would be to put a bedside table on both sides of the king bed. It's a great location and I would stay again.

A very cute class. Staff were amazing and everything was very clean. Food was very good and the coffee was very good. Would absolutely stay again.

Very clean wonderful staff. Perfect location priced great. Can’t truly say enough good. Definitely in my top 5 best paces to stay. The only downside that we experienced was people not picking up after their animals. Had nothing to do with the hotel though. We loved every minute.

Avalon was an old but adorable boutique hotel. The rooms were clean and well decorated. The staff was excellent, very accommodating and answered all the questions I needed for last minute stay couldn't be more happy.

Please be advised that the Avalon is a property affiliated with a hotel next door. I can’t think of the name right now. The Avalon itself has zero amenities, water is available. You have to go next door for pool, food etc. There is a nice lounge area inside the Avalon and a lovely patio at the front entrance. The parking is minimal. The staff were kind, rooms are clean and air conditioning was great!

Stayed one night for a concert at Jannus. Wonderful spacious suite on the first floor. Free water and wine from 5-7p upon check-in!

This a very trendy (hip) vibe hotel. The charm of the buildings age from 1930 spoke for itself. The room was comfortably set up with a king bed. Yes the bathroom is a bit small, but I wanted to spend my time in town sightseeing nit in my room. And after a long day I spent time on the open air front patio and relaxed and people watched. Great music playing. Parking my car was convenient in the private lot. I spent time at the Hollander hotel, bar, and restaurant next door having drinks and dinner, then went back to the Hollander in the morning and had a coffee drink and and apple cinnamon apple stuffed muffin. The only drawback I felt was in the morning. There was not a "breakfast" item to get. Coffee and tea were served, and there was a platter of cookies. I would have better enjoyed a granola bar or piece of fruit.

I love staying at the Avalon. Since my first stay 4 years ago, I haven't stayed anywhere else in St Pete when I travel for business. The rooms; the staff; the bar and restaurant next door....all of it makes me feel like the Avalon is a home away from home.
