Hyatt Place St. Petersburg / Downtown

Great place and included breakfast a bonus. Parking prices grossly overpriced compared to other local parking garages. Also beware of the two concert venues opposite which can be extremely noisy in the evenings.

Staff was great

The location is great, the wharf area offers lots of dining and recreation options. Breakfast in house is a nice addition. Theres no need to run out or make reservations somewhere before starting the day. The pool and gym were easy to access, they had their own floor. Just open the elevator door and you arrive, no long corridors or labyrinths to maneuver. Hollie did a great job tidying my room and keeping things fresh. I had an excellent stay and will be returning soon.

Rooms were big. The pool area was really nice. Great area too. Breakfast spread was wonderful.

I enjoyed the property and I probably would have given 5 stars had it not been for someone pooping in the pool. They are not responsible for the actions of guests but they do have the obligation to act on it appropriately. That pool was never shut down for cleaning and continued to run as usual putting guests at risk. Other than that, the hotel room and halls were clean along with the buffet which had everything most hotel buffets would have so it wasn't lacking. I liked that the hotel was seemingly quiet and muffled noise well. The location was smack in the middle of downtown surrounded by an active nightlife and plenty of good options for food. If the poop incident hadn't of happened I would have had nothing bad to say about the place. I'm not sure I would stay again unless management openly addressed the situation.

I enjoyed my four day stay at this establishment.. The property is well kept, excellent customer service and the best breakfast bar I have ever experienced..

The room was very clean, but we were told that the cleaning staff does not clean every day. We had to specifically ask for our room to be cleaned. The front desk was not always available. On the day that we were checking out, we wanted to leave our bags in the luggage room, but no one was at the front desk for a good 10 minutes. On the second day of our stay, we asked for bottled water for our room because we received 2 bottles in our room when we checked in, but we were told that we were not part of the Hyatt Loyalty program or something so we'd have to buy additional water. The location was great. It was very close to the shuttle stop that goes to Tropicana Field. There is a crazy bar scene near the hotel, which for some people may not be so appealing at night.

Found it hard to believe that the bar in the lobby did not open til 5:00.
