Clean room, staff really polite and helpful, great location, loved staying there.
-
Very unique hotel with a great location in Downtown Saint Pete.

Exceptional
-
Staff friendly, but I asked for room to be cleaned and it was never done my entire stay
-
Location was perfect. I did not like that there was no parking, but I am glad they said so ahead of time so I could research parking in the area.
-
Really not a great hotel at all. Small and paper thin walls. Run down
-
Parking is a nightmare, the ac face had fallen off and
-
Great location just an older building, that needs renovation.
-
Room was clean but the outdated shower head with poor water pressure and spraying 17 different directions instead of for you was insane

The hotel has a great location. I will say that the number 1 feature is the location so close by the bay, restaurants and museums. It's a very old hotel needs more attention in the area of the building maintenance. There were mold in the bathrooms of my room. I inform the manager.

I really enjoyed my stay. The only thing I don't like is parking in downtown st. Pete.
-
You can definitely tell how historic the building is. We loved the little bar downstairs and the location to fortu. Overall a good experience, just don’t have high expectations like a modern hotel. It is an older hotel with charm

So this time we were upgraded to the "renovated room" and frankly if it wasn't for how cheap the rooms are these rooms would be unacceptable to stay in. The location is absolutely amazing but the hotel itself is in need of serious updating and renovating. I really want to love this place but that room was atrocious. It's like they hired their cousin Vinny to fix up the place. And if it wasn't for the fact that it's owned by a huge hotel company I wouldn't be so harsh but Galaxy hotels has plenty of money and can fix this.

The place was ok the only thing lack of hot water and it needs a major upgrading in the rooms tlc doesn’t hurst

There was a bed bug infestation. After a two night stay, my legs and arms were filled with bites. I provided both Expedia and the hotel with photo evidence, and was declined a refund.

Thankfully I only stayed one night because several things were broken in my room and really made me frustrated! First of all NO HOT WATEE, not even warm! I let it run 10 min then had to suffer through the cold shower. Then I went to blow dry my hair and the blow dryer literally fell apart in my hands. Dud not work, the on/ button was missing as well. Lastly the TV volume did not work. Which wasn’t terribly important, but still an inconvenience. I let the lady at the front know, I honestly doubt she cared and everything is probably still not working. The bed was good, that was the only positive.

Please know that these pictures are not accurate nor is the info. Room was very small and little places to set things down on so not to put your bag on carpet or bed. There was random hair in bed sheets. Room does smell musty. Be prepared to climb stairs because elevator is old a very very slow. Bathroom in horrid shape and just gross. There is no onsite parking! But a flyer on where you can find parking garage that is not affiliated. There is a stocked mini fridge with drinks that you will be charged for. There is no handsoap or washcloths. Bed extremely old and uncomfortable for 2 people but worst part is I woke up with horrible rash or bites on legs. Also curtains do not close all the way and you will listen to neighboring hotel threw out trash all night. Another guest asked for coffee and was told he could buy somewhere for additional $. I would not not recommend.

For one nights stay we survived. But probably would not book again.
-
The staff was friendly and it was close to everything. The room was tiny. For the price I could’ve stayed in a much larger room, but the nostalgia of the historic building was cool
-
Location Old, smelled of mold, room next to elevator - LOUD!
