Hampton Inn & Suites Stamford

We had a wonderful stay at the Hampton Inn in Stamford. The property was impeccable, clean, and very well maintained, and the location was excellent and convenient. One detail I really appreciated was the water refill station, which made it easy to fill our bottles. The water actually tasted really good, which was a nice touch! Overall, the hotel was comfortable, welcoming, and exceeded our expectations. Everything was very nice, and we truly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend this property and would be happy to stay here again!

The hotel was exactly what we asked for. Perfect location and the price was right. Only thing to mention is make sure your stay doesn’t overlap with concerts in the park across the street. The bleed over sound is very loud in the rooms.

Great location, very friendly staff at the registration desk. Comfortable beds. Good restaurant. We had a fabulous dinner. Breakfast was very basic. We stayed at other Hampton Inns and the breakfast there was much better. There was a beetle under the cover of my bed - looked like some outdoor insect.

Great room size for a king! Shower pressure was on point and great range of temperature. Bed was comfortable sheets were spotless. The staff front desk and floating were accommodating and pleasant. The outside back area was very nice and chill even with another event going on still room from other guests.

Noise was horrible. Room 315 is on the back side of the elevator. It was so loud all night. Could also hear a party somewhere else on the property. Breakfast was mediocre. Bed is not comfortable at all. It was very clean and newly updated. Room and bathroom were large.

My room was terrible: it was "clean" but it's old and outdated. The carpets were thin, stained and threadbare. The only amenity the hotel had was free breakfast. The small thing's like a pad with pen to take notes on by the desk, there was nothing with drawers to put your clothes in after unpacking. I had to keep smaller items of clothing (boxers, socks, t-shirts, etc.) in my suitcase. The only thing to hang my clothes was a closet with several hangers and a shelf. The light fixture in between the beds was broken (actually hanging down). The light bulbs were a fluorescent blue, cold, bright making it very uncomfortable, difficult to read a book in bed at night. The desk lamp had on one lightbulb - I called to have the bulbs exchanged for a yellow/warm but was told they didn't have any other type bulbs. In the bathroom I found black mold on a shelf in the shower. The towels were like drying off with a fine sandpaper, nothing soft about them. The desk staff was pleasant- housekeeping: I went out one morning early because I saw a housekeeper and her cart cleaning the room next door to mine. I left my room about 10am to give her enough time to clean my room. I didn't come back to the hotel until after 4pm. The housekeeper and her cart were gone off the 4th floor, so I figured my room was done but it wasn't. She didn't go into my room at all. Even when housekeeping did come in to clean, all they did was toss the bed

Wasn’t thrilled with the parking garage, no elevator (that I found anyway) and no direct access to the hotel, so lugging two bags down a flight of stairs not fun! Otherwise it was great but I probably will not stay here next time.
