A great hotel/home experience was a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

The staff at check-in was very attentive and welcoming. Bryan checked us in and made the process smooth. The hotel is a mix of a home and a hotel and made it very comfortable. The room was spacious and very clean. The lights and shower controls are all high tech and easy to operate. A small thing is you can open the windows, and we had a couple nice evenings with the cool air instead of constant air conditioning. We dined at the restaurant twice the staff was very prompt and courteous. The dinner was good but felt the portions we very modest and $28 for a glass of house red was a but much. The breakfast on the other hand was a home run and our server Jack was awesome. There is one pub nearby and it was OK. Easy to get out and walk the area if you are looking for that. 15 mins from PSU and lots of other attractions. I would recommend this hotel it is a great value with many nice amenities for the costs.

Fabulous hotel that was impeccable! Gorgeously decorated and very luxurious, I felt like I was at a high end resort. Very quiet, and comfortable.

This is a beautiful hotel. My stay was very comfortable. We were there to help my son move out and I was so happy to have had this hotel available and at a very reasonable price. The room was pristine, the bathroom was spacious, elegant, and clean. Eerything felt luxurious, including the white crisp sheets. We ended up eating in their restaurant and although it looked fancy people were dressed casually and the service was really good. The food was excellent, a bit pricey but worth it. I will definitely look to book this hotel next time I head up to Penn State.

The condition of the shower drain was disgusting. When showering the morning of our departure the shower pan filled to almost overflowing twice. After allowing it to slowly drain before the second shower, the puddle of water did not appear to be as clear as the first shower. I removed the drain cover and found hair and other unknown stuff floating in the water. Perhaps even worse was the disgusting growth of unknown gunk covering the sides and bottom of the drain cover. Soap scum? DNA samples from previous guests? New unnamed alien creatures developing past the egg stage? I have no idea what it was but washing my feet after the shower was the course of action I chose. During checkout the front desk attendant was informed and pictures of the drain displayed. He apologized and assured me that I would be contacted by management. That, as I already mentioned, has not happened. It's like they have simply ignored me. The satisfaction survey the Carnegie House emailed to me also didn't get a response in spite of the negative review I returned to them.

I really like the spacious and clean and classy rooms. The bathroom is great as well. Not in the center of campus, but definitely not a reason to skip this hotel because it’s relatively close and overall excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay at Carnegie House. The property was beautiful and well designed, and it had a warm, homey feeling, partly because of the friendly regulars who made it feel welcoming. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the bed was very nice. The food was good, the bar was well stocked, and the fire pit was a relaxing place to spend time. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and I would definitely stay again if I were passing through.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful.

We loved the style of this accommodation. The staff was very friendly. We're sad that we did not know about this place sooner as both our boys have graduated and visits to PSU will be sparse in the future what a gem.
