Courtyard by Marriott State College

Great location for event we were attending. We did not use any of the amenities that were offered. Rooms are updated and clean. Great little balcony to sit on after a day of running around. I do think that at check-in, staff should let you know that rooms are cleaned every other day, so new towels and complimentary coffee will not be restocked in your room if you are staying more than one night. Just a little reminder in case you're not aware of their new policies or put something in the rooms that make you aware of this.

The service at the bar for dinner was bad. Took forever for food to be done. No silverware, no salt or pepper. Food was not very good either.

The check in staff ask me the purpose of my trip, and because I was visiting someone at the assisted living facility across the street, I got a discount! The breakfast café only serves Starbucks coffee, which I find repulsive.

It was clean and had everything we needed. Parking at the front entrance was limited but wouldn’t deter me from staying again.

This is my go to place to stay when in State College. Clean, comfortable and feel safe here.

I found more to dislike than like. The bathroom was poorly designed. The toilet was kindergarten size, while the shower fixtures would be suitable for only an NBA basketball star. The bathroom and heater fans were atrociously loud. The Bistro was expensive for tiny portions and two candy items cost me $9.50. Then the final bill had unidentified random charges. Never again.

The closet had hangers extended past the sliding doors so you could never use the closet- and the switches for the bed lights were on the outside of the lamps so you could not switch off from your bed- you had to get out of bed to turn off the lights. The lights in half of the lobby were off as well as the heat. The front desk team had to wear coats as they checked in their guests. We were told that there was no staff as it was a holiday weekend. We did not pay holiday reduced rates- I am pretty sure that this is not a corporate Marriott property. The staff that was working was all very friendly and accommodating.

Hotel was clean, room was comfortable and room service was available upon request. Front desk personnel was very helpful and customer focused.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the blackout shades worked !! The hotel is having construction done and there was plastic sheeting over the entrance. There was no sign that said the entrance was still operable.
