Good basic accommodations at a great price for the area.

Perfect location! Amazing staff! It's an older structure, but very well-maintained. We enjoyed the room and the ability to walk all around the downtown. Great suggestions for both dinner and breakfast!

Great location! Located in downtown Steamboat Spring. Close enough to walk to restaurants & the “Hot Springs walking tour”. See the namesake & learn some Steamboat Springs history! Close to Emerald Mountain trail system, with the beat mountain biking in town.

Clean rooms and excellent location!

I had such a wonderful stay! I will definitely be coming back. The location was perfect and the hotel exceeded my expectations!

Negatives: Only a few minor things. The lobby had a slightly musty smell. Fortunately the room did not. The shower curtain was too short. Water went on the floor and could not be remedied. The safety chain on the door was bent. Still operable , but not entirely secure. I HATE a $25 “Hotel Charge” I know there are reasons for it, but this was NOT a resort. I would not have a problem if the room was priced $25 higher. It just kind of irks me. None of these are reasons to avoid the hotel, and I would consider visiting again if only for the comfortable bed, which if you think about it , is one of the reasons for getting a room in the first place.

Great place to stay close to downtown, restaurants, etc. Reasonable pricing. Newly remodeled rooms. Comfortable bed.

It was a Motel not a hotel but that was fine for what we paid.

we loved our night at the western lodge! it was clean, comfy, and near everything! the staff was so friendly & helpful as well. our dog came with us too :) it was perfect for us!

The location is definitely a highlight—it’s very walkable and convenient to town. Our room was clean, the air conditioning worked well, and we slept comfortably. The office staff was also very kind and welcoming. That said, the rooms and overall property felt quite different from how they appeared online. The renovation seemed somewhat unfinished, with drop ceilings and some details that could use more attention. Our shower handle fell off during our stay, the windows had paint and grime on them, and the exterior of the property had quite a few weeds and areas of overgrown brush. For such a beautiful town and great location, we were surprised that the grounds weren’t better maintained. The office also appeared to still be undergoing renovations. It looks like the property received updates in 2024, but it feels as though some of the renovation and ongoing upkeep may have stalled. For the price, we expected a more polished and well-maintained property. We were comfortable for our one-night stay and appreciated the cleanliness, air conditioning, friendly staff, and excellent location. However, we do wish the online photos more accurately reflected the current condition of the hotel.

Very good place for the price, good service and friendliness, but the only bad thing was the room cleaning; they need to be more careful and give it a better cleaning.

Loved the staff in the office. She engaged and really wanted to know thoughts about the property and how to make it better for our next stay.

Super clean, and the lady who checked us in was so helpful and kind! Will most defitnely stay again.

Friendly and convenient location

I like the location, personal service of the staff, and that it is a well run, newly updated, independent motel. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Location is/was perfect for what we were looking for, along our Colorado road trip. It’s an old motel, refurbished— they could have done a few things to make it feel a little nicer/upgraded, but you don’t want to be lazy in your hotel room in a place like Steamboat Springs, anyway :-)

The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel was within walking distance of town and well located. It was extremely clean, comfortable and quiet. I would definitely stay here again.
