You really loved everything about the property, from the rooms, to the walking trails, to the ropes course right on property. Also enjoyed great breakfast and dinner.

Skamania Lodge is a lovely property with an amazing view of the Columbia River. The grounds and staff are very attentive to guest needs. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The location is amazing and worth many trips back. The staff were friendly and responsive. I think the check in could have been better planned because we had a line of about ten people and didn’t check in until almost 30 minutes after check in. They did offer us a free tickets for appetizers. The restaurants food was not very tasty (dinner menu), but service was great.

Room service staff did not know how to take an order. Breakfast staff very slow to seat people knowing that the resort was full and they would be busy.

The room will not be cleared everyday except request by calling. Bad smell could be felt from whole property. The foods are so terrible what ever breakfast , lunch or diner.

The property and view were beautiful. The room was a nice room, clean, and average. It did have a small refrigerator and no microwave. Although it was nice we’ve stayed at nicer places for less money.

The only downside was the dining experience. While the food may have been fine, the service at the on-site restaurant felt unwelcoming. The greetings from the hostesses came across as impersonal rather than friendly, and the overall atmosphere made us choose to dine elsewhere for the rest of our stay. The nearby River Rock Lounge provided much warmer, more attentive service, which highlighted the difference. I wish I took the waitress name but she made a world of a difference in experience. Overall, the lodge itself was wonderful. A friendlier, more welcoming approach from some staff members would make the experience even better.

They said that you could eat on patio with dog but the restaurant with patio is not open for breakfast. We got food to go. They said it would be 30 minutes but was 90 minutes. Then they forgot the syrup, fruit and potatoes! The food was good at least. Restaurant staff not helpful or knowledgeable. They should just say we are busy and it will take 90 minutes. We would have gone into town. In the summer be prepared for weddings and conferences. It is a popular spot. The room was clean and if you get a room with a view, it is beautiful. Grounds are nice and well cared for.
