The outdoor pool was large and heated, this was a highlight of our stay, hot tub was great as well. Breakfast was very limited to our surprise, we expected more options. No scrambled eggs or fried potatoes. Got charged around $40 (facility fees), something to be aware of. Location is great, very easy to get to main sightseeing, shops and restaurants.

Our key stopped working midway through our stay. There was an employee nearby who attempted to help us get in with his universal key, but his didn't work either. Then, the people in the room next to us walked up and also couldn't get in. We walked to the front desk and there were multiple other customers whose keys had quit working. The front desk employee insinuated it was because we were all keeping our keys too near our phones. I don't believe that was the case. My biggest problem with this hotel has come after our stay. I had prepaid for the room through hotels.com and knew that I would need to pay a resort fee at stay. I gave them my card upon arrival to pay the resort fee (and maybe put a deposit down for incidentals). Instead, they charged me the resort fee PLUS an extra $249. They claim this was just a temporary hold and will fall off in 2-5 days, but it has been a full week, it is a full charge that has been processed on my card and it's much more than the $50 or $100 charges that are common at other hotels. I am still fighting this battle, so if you stay here, watch your charges carefully.

Unfortunately the breakfast was not up to my standards. There were bagels, cereal and yogurts which had expired. The staff was not concerned that food was expired which raised concerns for me. We ate off site after the first breakfast experience. Thankfully there are many stores and restaurants nearby The resort is kind of run down and in the process of renovation. Hopefully things will be nicer after the renovations. We have stayed there for 10 stays over the past 18 years. This last stay was unfortunately not up to the standards I would have expected. There were pest issues, squirrels in the ceiling, yellow jackets and large rodent traps and droppings in the Meadows Loop townhouses. The Meadows townhouses are newer, and we were expecting a newer larger townhouses. In the past we have not had pest issues, other than occasional groundhogs and ants, in the actual Meadows townhouses. The pictures shown did not indicate that we would get an older smaller unit through Booking.com. Next time I would book directly with the resort if we go again.

Also maid service every three days without request isnt consistent with a hotel of this caliber. Also indoor pool was under repair that we only learned close to arrival

The indoor pool was not usable. Website said it was being renovated. Didn't appear to be so. Tgey did have an outdiir pool and hot tub though. Ice machine closest to my room was broken. I had to walk to the other side of the building to get ice. Spa was closed and so was the restaurant. It appears that they have been for some time. My room was very comfortable and clean. There was a small hole in the ceiling which looked like they had initially wanted to put in a light but did not complete the task. The room had a but the hallways were always stifling.

The beauty. No microwave in the room & no wifi in the gym.

We had a minor issue with our AC on the first night, and the staff made it right by getting us a new room and taking care of us the right way thereafter. Thanks once again to Krystina!

We are currently on a 5,000 mile road trip through New England- a ‘bucket list’ trip we’ve been planning for years- with lodging varying from Wyndham to Hilton’s and others in between. When we found this resort on Expedia, we happily booked a room. To be completely honest, this was the most anticipated stop of our trip. Then we found out the hot air balloons would be there the same weekend and it made it that much more exciting… until we got there. The whole facility was very run down. The roads and parking lots were horribly rutted, the outside needs many repairs, the indoor pool was under construction, the tennis courts were in disrepair, just to scratch the surface on the many issues. The beds in our room were hard and you could feel the springs, the a/c never fully cooled the room, and there was mold in and around the shower. The hot air balloon events were cancelled due to weather, however the weather Saturday evening and Sunday morning would have allowed for the balloons. The front desk staff told us they were playing Shrek and board games to make up for it. I’m sorry, but that in no way made up for it. For the amount of money we paid for the room ($330+) we expected much better accommodations and facilities. The Days Inn we stayed in two nights prior for only $75 was equivalent in quality, maybe even better quality, than the accommodations at Stoweflake. Very disappointed in our stay…

The property was beautiful. We received a complementary upgrade from a room to a townhouse due to A/C issues. It was like having our own little one bedroom apartment! It was very clean , quiet and private. A rather minimalist continental breakfast. A few more options would have been nice.
-
Only thing good was the location, spa wasn’t working, indoor pool wasn’t open due maintenance, but there was not information about it in the Expedia website, shower was cold , and the bathroom vent wasn’t working.

Excellent

Nice workout area and lobby. Rooms were smelly, no air circulation and could not open windows

Stayed on Memorial Day weekend with family The apartment was beautiful a very spacious, two floors, it contained everything that you needed for your stay. The view was beautiful and very clean. The area is very convenient and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not too bad was satisfied. Loved the ice cream shop across the street. Would definitely return.

Included breakfast was good. Rooms were spacious. A public washroom was not properly cleaned or repaired for at least 24 hours and it was full. It was disgusting. Should at least have warned the customers with a notice on the door.

I think they all did the best they could with what they had.

They are making updates to the property including reopening onsite restaurant and indoor pool renovations. Outdoor pool area and grounds were very pretty. Had to run bathtub water for several minutes until it ran clear…Greenish water coming from pipes. Let staff know…. and they were aware and apologized….

Friendly staff. Clean room. Clean bathroom. Very quiet.

The thermostat in room didn’t seem to be working. Constant fan but no temp control. Set it to 70 for air conditioning but the temperature of the room didn’t cool down. Set it to 63 at night and the temperature only cooled down because the temperature outside had cooled down and even then the thermostat said temp in the room was 72. Also bathtub had an indentation worn into it and a little water stayed there, did not drain. That area is discolored. We did not try the complimentary breakfast.
